Some high-end smartphones come with 24GB of RAM and a few TOPS of neural nerwork inference capability. a stripped (but non-rooted) android install can easily get you 20-22 out of those to work with. You could probably strip the case, display and battery to cut down on most of the mass, and use the USB port in host mode to control the motors/sensors/external communication (assuming you can't use the built-in ones over jamming concerns or something).
@KuteboiCoder@subs4social.xyz@Burger@dill.burggit.moe@apropos@fsebugoutzone.org Note the northbridge and southbridge distinction no longer applies because the northbridge was generally moved to the CPU itself and x86 CPU manufacturers stopped providing enough documentation to allow third-party chipsets to be made (with the exception of AMD's weird decision to daisy-chain chipsets, southbridges are now combined into a single package.) I think the last third party x86 chipset was nvidia's circa 2009?
I'm actually surprised RAM sockets still work at the current speeds in spite of all the hacks being used to make them work.. You don't need just low-impedance traces, but controlled impedance traces, and a socket is going to invariably create a mess on that.
Laptop memory module speeds are already faltering because of signal integrity issues from having the socket, and i'm still not convinced CAMM can provide the memory density you usually find on a rack-mounted server.
It's okay to change one's opinion often, but people will find out really quick when that's being done because you think it's what the majority of people seem to think and thus more likely to get you votes, rather than when you do it because new information comes up revealing your previous opinion was flawed and there exist alternatives that are better in every way.
anyway, the story's context is the scarlet devil mansion became the soviet union, and i'm assuming those breast pads just destroyed by flandre were filled with fish oil.
@sapphire@shortstacksran.ch@IAMAL_PHARIUS@poa.st yeah, even that article mentions the saudi government was trying to use german police to harass the guy for at least a full year before the attack.
Apparently he had at least something against saudi arabia in particular (which led to him seeking asylum in germany), but i can't find anything extending that to muslim hate in general.
The main server i played on ran on a cracked server version which stopped being updated once the microtransactions were added in (totally because stronger DRM and not because the cracker got drafted and droned the next day), and it always had the issue of a low playerbase eventually quitting in the mid-to-lategame because everyone else did. I think the only successful cycles were in 9.6.2 (because one player eventually got themselves 3 accounts to solo the game) and 9.7.3 (because the lack of diminishing returns on multiple rooms of the same type present only in that version allowed a 200+ bedroom skill pagoda to be built letting a solo player get all skills).
It's a shame because my experience on that server for a single week made me buy the game at full price (virtually unheard of) in spite of the massive performance issues present pre-9.7 and the exploits being demonstrated. Eco is definitely not a game you can try out alone.
I'm currently on a break from it but willing to get back if it gets someone else to play again, so also let me know if you decide to do so.
