still haven't penned any lines of code down, so the choice between champions and cities without number remains open
kind of mulling over which to use.
problem is in a MUD the level-up mechanics for both make no sense anyway, since those are based on like.. the gm just handing them out per-session.

CWN has an interesting little bit about the rolls for installing implants, and the trauma die is weird. there's a die each weapon has and a separate AC that if you beat it then it counts as a critical hit. crits don't just do big damage -per se- but if you are downed in a fight where you took one then there's a whole injury table about it.
champions doesn't really do this. it just has killing and stun damage and there isn't really an answer to medicine et all.
"just make rules up quinn" yes but i dislike venturing too far in to the weeds more than i have to

@icedquinn I played diku/merc rom, it was a heavily pvp mud with looting and permadeath. Probably put in over 100,000 hours. But there's no reason to play muds now that there are unity games that do what muds do with a full graphical environment

@icedquinn you should really play Eco global survival before you make a game, it's the best game that has ever been made and should set the standard going forward

@icedquinn yeah I played almost exclusively diku/merc. I remember having fun in a good godwars mud and a star wars reality one but other than that I stuck firmly with my own game

@s8n it probably sucks less with the other jobs. mason isn't good until like
tier 3, then it becomes super important

@icedquinn lmk if you get motivated enough to try playing again, I'm always game. The hardest part is finding a good server so we might try 3-4 times over the course of a year before we get a good wipe. Where "try" means getting up the motivation, looking at the server list, seeing there are no servers recently wiped with the settings we want, and forgetting about it for another month or so

@icedquinn no, all jobs are always important and you should eject that idea from your mind. When you were complaining you had nothing to do in that wipe I was starved for items that you could make and refused to make
