@tchambers Block lists are far to easily weaponized and its an even bigger threat in the fediverse. If I'm going to subscribe to a block list I want clear criteria on who gets added to the list and why. I also want a clear appeal process. The decision to block a domain should be up to the instance admin with accountability to the members of the instance.

If it's just a node with Edmonton in the fqdn then I'm not sure there's any utility there.

The term join Mastodon is fundamentally flawed, it's like saying join the world wide web instead of saying go to my web site. The emphasis should be building great communities that just happen to interooerate with each other. That shift in perception addressees a few of the great sins (def not all)

The shooting in Minnesota has so many disturbing elements. First and foremost it's a targeted political assassination that gives republicans the balance of power in a state legislature. Second it was brazen and cold blooded meant exactly to send a message. That message being if you're in a position of power and in opposition to the right you could be assassinated.

@shoq This was just rehearsal for the mid terms when "emergency powers" will be invoked and troops deployed across Blue states. Sounds crazy but I'm rational people are saying it out loud..
