    @sickburnbro @EvilSandmich @pepsi_man @matty The "deal" wasn't just the Saudis - it was getting the other OPECs to go along with the plan. It takes time to get to the gasoline price-level - crude-stocks, gasoline-stocks, etc.
    Biden didn't have a magic-wand to make gas shoot-up in a few months. He wasn't shutting down operational-fields. OPEC and Big-Oil wasn't cooperating - wanted to make-up for lost "covid" time.
    Ironically, our cheap gas under Trump, was due to the fracking under Obama - with prep done under Dubya/Cheney.

    That led to the shortage / high-gas prices in 2021, after Biden took office. He then drained the SPR trying to make up for Trump's "deal" damage.
    It takes YEARS to bring new production on-line, and nothing Biden did had any effect in the short-term. OTOH, it takes only a few months for an OPEC cut to lead to higher gasoline prices.
    The only change Biden made quickly, was keeping the Canadian tar-stands oil on Buffet's trains, instead of Koch's then-in-progress pipeline - no significant effect.

    Trump stabbed-in-the-back on oil, just like everything else he promised. He's doing it again now - sending our frack-gas to Europe, instead of keeping it at home, to make energy inexpensive. The Euros get screwed too, paying 7x more for LNG than the cheap Russian gas, which is still cut-off, because Trump wouldn't stop Ukraine war-supplies to end that conflict (as promised). Big-Oil wins again!! .

Yes, Biden struggled to try to keep the oil-price down, after Trump made that "deal" with the Saudis / OPEC in 2020 to slash production, to maximize US-Big-Oil profits, at our expense. But, we already have a ban on net-exporting oil - only "swaps" allowed - where we import Brent and export the same from Alaska to the far-East.

    While the oil re-fills the reserve (will take awhile), the gas-surplus should be used for inexpensive electricity, and by automobiles with dual-fuel converters and tanks installed - as has been done in poorer countries. This will also bring down gasoline-prices, due to increasing overall transportation-energy supply. Clean-burning is an added plus - great for use in cities.

    Also, a big gas-pipeline from Alaska would be good - so they don't keep burning it off as waste, instead.

    @sickburnbro I would not say "at all" - but not primarily. I recall the other OPECs said he was over-pumping beyond his quota, which also affects USA-Big-Oil profit-margins.

    Are you really buying this re-run of the "framing" for the Noriega / Panama operation? It looks like the same regime-change op set-up to me. In retrospect, Noriega should have taken that $10-Million the CIA offered him to leave (allegedly, per his book) - was a lot more money back then.
