Yeah - lightning can be a big problem with long runs. A sort of close strike can cause 1V per foot of voltage on a line. At 300 feet that would be 300 V. Not good w/o lightning protection (cheap if you buy it ahead).

I'm thinking the author looks too narrowly at the situation. Effective control doesn't necessarily require occupation.

There is no Spanish site for the Trump White House that I am aware of. It was just something Pinocchio Joe told people to put up. There is probably some press release describing it somewhere.

The whole Biden White House site is now hosted at that new address. The new Trump White House site is at whitehouse.gov.

Nothing was "taken down" - just moved. They did this on the Trump -> Biden transition as well and several before that one.

- could you post a close up picture of the logo?
- if you pull it out, is there a label on the back panel? Thinking of a model number, lot number, serial number, or other identification.

Zero for agricultural work. You got paid by the pound for picking fruits or vegetables. IIRC, a penny a pound for green beans.

I got a GS5 job at McNary Dam later that summer & was paid more than the car wash manager. Had to pay for a spot in a trailer park though - maybe $30 a month.
