     oh wow .. that's exactly what I use. (I use the sugar free Ricola, although don't take too many of them in one day. Their sugar replacement can give you the runs)

     I got something nasty too. Only 3-1/2 hours of sleep last night according to my FitBit. No fever. SpO2 was fine.

     For the nose I use a saline nasal spray. Put 3 to 6 squirts up each nose cleared me all day today.

     I'm trying to avoid an expectorant. Letting my body cough it out. Taking my daily medicines.

     Going to bed early tonight to recover the missing sleep.

     @mhjohnson — oof, rough night! Hope tonight’s better for you.

     An expectorant does help move the mucus out. :)

     I’ve had situations where I take a cough suppressant at night, to get restful sleep, and then take an expectorant when awake to help move the infection out.

     Whenever possible though, I avoid taking a suppressant and just take an expectorant! (Fenugreek works great for us.)

     @KingOfWhiteAmerica @Humpleupagus @MountainJay @eriner @mhjohnson I just take gusulfin but others may work in a similar manner. I used to have to take it for medical reasons and noticed the side effect. And you can safely take on a regular basis, has no adverse effects.

     Guess who’s right… right again.

     (It was acute pneumonia, and good thing I went to the hospital otherwise I’d probably be in very rough shape. They had to max out the high-flow oxygen to bring my O2 above 90)

     Off the heated high-flow and (back) on the regular nasal tube, which is far more comfortable.

     It’ll be another day or two for the steroids and my body to clear my lungs so that I can breathe without Oxygen.

     I have adenovirus and rhinovirus, the latter this year brings a nice pneumonia. My case was exceptional in the speed at which the pneumonia (both lungs) progressed. I blame my genius maskless cutting of the CPVC.

     Shitposting resumes in a few days.
