@eriner — we made two big changes in 2022. First we left the corporate and suburban rat-race in Denver and retired to a hobby farm in the Missouri Ozarks. Then we started regularly attending the local Orthodox Christian church.

Although we’re now quite poor money-wise compared to our previous life, we’ve all never been so healthy, happy, and had such a solid community of neighbors and friends.

The dark times in 2020 motivated us to seek a more meaningful life and, by God, it worked! :D

I’m also suspicious of this being the case! I’ve also heard though from two personal sources (a chiropractor and an organic farmer), who have noteworthy practical experience with those substances and found them to be useful. 🤷🏻♀️ So I’m still on the hunt for more definitive proof one way or the other.

This post reminds of our suspicions though, with a twist of humiliation rubbed in. 🤪

yeah, in 2020 when Trump said, “War on the Virus”, I was like, “Well, THAT never goes well!” and I was inspired to draw this sign. :P

I wished at the time I’d had room to add “poverty”, and there are probably others I didn’t think of.

@Teslanaut — it’s weirdly impressive how obviously AI all AI art is.

I like the idea of using it in certain circumstances to speed up production. But I rarely like how it looks; and the obviousness “futuristic” look of it (even when done in old styles) limits its usefulness in the kind of commercial work I do.

Maybe I just don’t know it when I see the non-obvious stuff?
