@RebelGeek99@mastodon.social i mean with the greens they play this respectability trip while also saying things that are not very politically savy -- like with the Syria thing, i both sympathized with the revolution but also opposed US intervention, just like I hate Putin and I respect the ukranians right to resist an imperialist invasion, but have never been gung ho on US support for Ukraine -- and now with trump being dependent on the US is going to bite them in the ass -- you can oppose US imperialism without making apologies for foreign dictators, it's really not hard. But this goes beyond the greens and speaks to how there really is no organized leftist force in the US that is able to articulate a genuine working class perspective.

Like personally, why do the greens where suits? Just wear a T-shirt and jeans, and why settle for milquetoast positions when you're gonna lose anyway? ... and hey, maybe now a real working class party can begin to take shape, but that's only possible with a militant working class movement behind it... just like "pushing the dems left" requires a working class movement that can actually push them left and until that we'll always be reacting to bourgeois political formations.

Likewise reasoning backwards by what western randos say about Syria on the internet is no way to go about it, you can real or talk to Syria anarchists/leftists, non are fans of al Sham al celebrate the fall of Bashar, as with always solidarity with the people of Syria against all oppressors

cleaning up the code and adding minor improvements to my waterBoard project, which as a javascriptless flatfile anonmouse imageboard, it has lots of fancy css3 stuff like a full screen gallery, thumbnail expander, dynamic forms, hide images, inline replies... i just figured it out and gave up

i've decided to give the regex parser another try, i think i have in my head a certain design concept that just wasn't gonna work and i should just settle for slightly less elegant solution before i figure other way out that wrap everything in <p> and then runs the regex for each paragraph individually, which is relatively resource intensive, but properly parsing user generated posts for rundown / bbcode is primary feature of the board so who cares.

i'm currently using md5 for media hashing, 32 char filenames are long enough lol but there are security concerns md5, at first i figured it doesn't matter because the point of the media hashing to to prevent uploads of pre-existing media, so if someone tried to upload a false file it wouldn't matter, but assume you are trying to upload a pdf of a leaked document, well a hacker could make a dummy file with the same md5 and prevent you from uploading it... as obscure as something like that is, it's not acceptable for an anarchist space

so perhaps better way is use the sha3 hash as the database indexer ( that jives also with tag based or) and just save the og filename+dt-uploaded which could be manually renamed to ensure descriptive filenames, would also like auto-save alt text into exif data it's currently saved to .txt files under uid of file

But Monero is the only crypto that actually works as a private means of payment, it's the only one used in most dark net markets and used by various militant groups or non western aligned states use it for that purpose, because it is actually a currency and actually private, rather than a pure speculative asset that spies on you, it's usually barred from crypto exchanges exactly for this reason.
