cleaning up the code and adding minor improvements to my waterBoard project, which as a javascriptless flatfile anonmouse imageboard, it has lots of fancy css3 stuff like a full screen gallery, thumbnail expander, dynamic forms, hide images, inline replies... i just figured it out and gave up

i've decided to give the regex parser another try, i think i have in my head a certain design concept that just wasn't gonna work and i should just settle for slightly less elegant solution before i figure other way out that wrap everything in <p> and then runs the regex for each paragraph individually, which is relatively resource intensive, but properly parsing user generated posts for rundown / bbcode is primary feature of the board so who cares.

i'm currently using md5 for media hashing, 32 char filenames are long enough lol but there are security concerns md5, at first i figured it doesn't matter because the point of the media hashing to to prevent uploads of pre-existing media, so if someone tried to upload a false file it wouldn't matter, but assume you are trying to upload a pdf of a leaked document, well a hacker could make a dummy file with the same md5 and prevent you from uploading it... as obscure as something like that is, it's not acceptable for an anarchist space

so perhaps better way is use the sha3 hash as the database indexer ( that jives also with tag based or) and just save the og filename+dt-uploaded which could be manually renamed to ensure descriptive filenames, would also like auto-save alt text into exif data it's currently saved to .txt files under uid of file

But Monero is the only crypto that actually works as a private means of payment, it's the only one used in most dark net markets and used by various militant groups or non western aligned states use it for that purpose, because it is actually a currency and actually private, rather than a pure speculative asset that spies on you, it's usually barred from crypto exchanges exactly for this reason.

@FinalOverdrive@kolektiva.social yeah it's tough, there is is a lot of psychological defenses and rationaliations built up specifically to deny, ignore, or justify whiteness, i think there is such a thing as tact or how we approach issues can vary greatly, because people are very different in their cognitive abilities or philosphies or whatever, and when we deal with people en mass you have to account for different perspectives, there's differences, for example, between what you might call the naive (young) white wealthy people who just taking the world they've lived for granted, there's also white people who are self-consciously racist but pretend not to be racist publicly, or people who have deep-seated racist prejudices and insecurities on varying levels of denial. Really an entire typology could be made of all the different degrees or categories of racist whites.

yes there is no way around but through as you say, but there's different ways to go through it. Like Malcolm X for example never mixed works about what he thought about hte white power structure, or the mass behavior of black folks. The Black Panthers made a very thorough study of white psychology and taylored their rhetoric a certain way.. there's similarities and differences, like Stokely Carmichael called on white radicals to have "Freedom Schools" in white neighborhoods, get the whites on their side. One splinter group of SDS, RAM2 ( revolutionary action movement) iirc tried moving into industrial neighborhoods, didn't really take off i think that's where the new communist thing started ( RCP etc. absolutely cursed timeline) Anyway, i can't blame this woman for not having the charisma of Malcolm X, and perhaps just having this conversation is important even if gone about in an imperfect way, maybe she thinks she has to make compromises for the people of confronting racism and justifies all the opportunism there. So this question of how ( exuse the mao ) progressive / advanced whites should deal with intermediate and backwards white people isndamental to politics in the US and probably any settler colonial project, and usually the force of white reaction wins, partly by coopting any resistance, these days there's a non profit system that generates career seeking opportunist huksters competing with each other for funds and with organic working class organizers for attention. So what people like DiAngelo are selling is a way for (White) Managers to go thru the motions of performing anti-racism and maybe even relieve them of guilt. It is not coming from the perspective of "we have to instill in whites anti racist principles so that they can be allies against White Supremacist Imperialism" So really let's be critical of who's these folks are allied with?

Corporations just hire her say they can say 'look how anti racist we are"

and notice how white feelings are ultimately at the core of her approach, and it seems the goal is to basically make white people feel okay with the knowledge they are benefactors in white supremacy, and idk if that really helps, like she teaches white people to feign concern basically
