there's a reason that bluesky and threads have been trying to move in on the fediverse, it's because we have something that's immensely valuable that they can't control, and they want to do to this place what they do with everything, extract every cent out of it until they destroy it and turn it into a toxic simulacra of what it once was.

These corporations want to move in and take everything we have, destroy our communities, monopolie our infrastructure, mine our personal data and force us to consume propaganda. That's what they do to real world, with the state and property laws, on the internet they have different methods, like throwing money around and buying up non profit organizations or forcing everyone to use their corporate protocol ( #Bluesky) these methods are all transparent and well documented going back decades -- a lot of you tech people have not been taught anything about tech history and now not only are you drowning in debt for your useless degrees but you're ideologically all fucked up doing unpaid labor for megacorps. Everyone point and laugh at the sincerely confused foss advocate who things threads and bluesky are good for the fediverse.

They're not your fucking friends, they're not just trying to make a contribution to the open web, and if you're afraid to state this openly, if this isn't immediately obvious to you or somehow controversial -- that giant corporations are bad -- you're just deeply unserious, you do not understand basic realities which most people learn as children, read a book.
