And when merging multi-part book files with m4b-tool, you'd have to keep both just to keep the original torrent seeded.
I'd really prefer folder-structure as primary... Just take that and apply metadata within it.
Rather than the seemingly-preferred Audiobooks/Book/Book.m4b structure which seems like a nightmare to maintain in a world where torrent uploaders are naming their folders things like "1 Pulse" (Jeremy Robinson - Chess Team Adventure #1 - Pulse)
Heaven forbid you're also trying to seed files from their original torrent structure /and/ integrate them with audiobookshelf... Symlinks for the torrent side? For the shelf side?
Jellyfin has this problem too. If you have a series with missing episode# metadata, it'll sort by title name, and be completely out of whack. The filename might have the episode number in it, which lets it sort fine in a real file browser, but there's no way to sort by filename or even just disable metadata altogether.
@georgia Stumbled upon this today by accident (a typo'd search to wikipedia instead of regular search engine for "Reflections by New Balance" when I was really looking for the track New Balance - Reflections)
@PNS She's got a quality of grating speech, maybe we need a new term for it.
It's kinda froglike, as if the vocal chords are half-tensed. Also a bit nasal.
If vocal fry is from manipulating the lower end until it oscillates, maybe this affect is from keeping them half-tensed whenever possible, with a bonus nasal affect.
I fucked up and ran it from root and the permissions were fucky and I dicked around for a couple hours before realizing I SHOULD RUN THE FUCKING CRON JOB FROM THE USER
