Tuesday #Workout:
200 seconds of plank.
10 minutes of yoga for runners.
30 minutes of strength training.
10 minutes of HIIT.
5.3 KM of #Running #Cycling (-11°C, -22°C winchill, 74% humidity, and 40 km/hr wind, gusting to 58 km/h).

Workouts were good.

Tuesday and Thursdays are supposed to cycling, but I'm not really equipped to deal with with heavy sub-zero winds (I'm still feeling out winter cycling).

Decided on a short run that was surprisingly quick for me, even in the crazy wind.

There are some tax advantages (we’re both in 🇨🇦) to buying a computer in the last days of the year, so that’s worth considering.

@dansup That sounds reasonable. I’d suggest ten *active* (this week) users. As time goes, I’d make it a mix of number of accounts, age of account(s), and activity of those account - to make it harder to create spontaneous spam waves.

10 KM of #Running (-3°C, Windchill of -6°C, 100% humidity, and 8 km/hr wind)

Yoga was a struggle again, but other workouts were fine.

The run was great; nice and cool, overcast, and trying to snow. Sixth no-issue 10k in two weeks. I think it's time to start eyeing adding some distance.

Have to bike out to the Westboro area after lunch for a meeting.

@dansup What are you looking for as help with moderation? Is there a good set of guidelines established?

@dansup Something like Mastodons ability to mute hashtags - and encourage Loops users to use them. Otherwise, for now anyway, I’m okay with the firehose.

@dansup I very specifically don't upload anything I put on Tiktok (not that I've used it since I started using Loops).

@dansup I doubt that the Fediverse would be able to handle a million swifties showing up in short order; many servers would be quickly overwhelmed as admins would have to start making decisions about spending money they don't yet have.

I like the slow and steady approach and somewhere down the line there will be a tipping point.

There's so much work to be done to make the Fediverse a safe place for all (except, of course, nazis).

Yoga was *hard* even though it's supposed to be a slow flow. Felt like a speed run to me. 🤣

Run was in windy rain, but I was enjoying myself so much I added a km around 7km in because I felt like it.

The urge to go further now is *so strong) even as I sit here icing my ankle.
