   Once Pixelfed and Loops become mainstream, with a solid team, I can step back.

   Social media is important, and I'm building a solid foundation, but long term, the community deserves to have more control over the project.

   The non-profit organization I'm building is a testament to that.

   I never wanted to be a BDFL, I just like building things. I can't wait to have time to explore my other hobbies.

   That being said, I'm not going anywhere yet, let's reach 10M users and then talk.

     @dansup I think it is also about avoiding a "single point of failure" since you might become - for whatever reason - unavailable for the projects. :BlobhajSadReach:
