“Copilot will automatically appear on supported Samsung TVs, where you’ll find it within the Samsung Tizen OS homescreen, Samsung Daily Plus, and Click to Search.”

How do I turn it off?!?!

Brains Of Mastodon, I need more help. Things are going great with my church's LGBTQ+ support and fellowship group. WE DOIN IT

We're now trying to think of how to foster secure and private group communication among our group. I don't think I have it in me to set up a Listserv, if that's even "private". I thought of like a Signal group chat, but I don't know if that can be easily managed.

What are people doing for stuff like this? Thanks in advance.

@GossiTheDog I just don’t understand this… people mostly hate talking to voice response units (VRU) and this is literally the same thing.

When I call a company, the first thing I do is try to figure out how to get routed to a human.

Psychologically, it seems to me that when a company tries to force me to be screened by a bot/ #AI/recording, it means they don’t care about me even a little bit.

My local #school system, affected by the #PowerSchoolBreach is migrating to a new platform called Infinite Campus.

How, in the Year of Our Lord 2025, does this system not support ANY KIND of multi-factor authentication???

But don't worry, according to their website, they absolutely take my security and privacy seriously...

This may not be THE authoritative source, but it’s what I’ve seen so far about the upcoming iOS 26/macOS 26 and “liquid glass”.

Wow. From an #accessibility viewpoint this is just horrible. I’ll be very interested to see to what degree the transparency and parallax stuff can be turned off.

@dalias A few years back I read a really long Reddit thread from a former Tesla engineer. I’m sure I won’t be able to find it now…

But it was full of horror stories like an an anonymous FTP server that hosted the car’s firmware and totally unauthenticated OTA updates that’d brick vehicles, etc etc etc…

OK, this Help Net Security article on #opensource security tools is pretty good.

I usually cringe at articles like this, that invariably trot out the ‘ole standbys like Wireshark, Tor, Nmap, and ClamAV… but this list is actually pretty fresh and helpful. Give it a look.

HOWEVER, the price of treatment is in-freakin-sane. Normal people can't afford it.
