@da_667 City water is typically “safe” and doesnt need additional treatment or filtering.

That said, every time a pipeline breaks there is a chance of a slug of dirt hitting your house. Also, if you have an electric water heater, especially a tankless, filtering out suspended minerals can reduce scale and maybe extent life.

tonight in sonoma, on my way to the russian river brewpub, i enounterd a parade! the Santa Rosa Taco Tuesday Ride! at least 50 bicycles of all types, with neon lights and music and weirdos in costumes pedaled down 4th street to cheers and shouts. my heart exploded right there on the sidewalk.

i know its abusing the tag but it was #bikenight in sonoma.
