Been in nonstop meetings since 9 am. I feel like my soul has left my body and in its place, i have been filled with ashes

@botvolution I don't know if you're building a bicycle light or some kind of modular synthesizer thing, or something else entirely but this is how I wired everything up for the bicycle light. It runs on 5 volts just like that. I just only drew four sets here instead of eight because I was lazy and you get the idea

Someone tagged their handle in such a way as to make it especially legible from the perspective of motorists passing by on the road

I'm playing around with the epaper again and I accidentally came up with a pattern that would be perfect for vintage Formica

We have a dolly at the theater with these angled-style metal casters on it, and it got me thinking about how I occasionally see them on old mechanic's creepers, but not really anywhere else.
It's also got me wondering about the design. Why are the wheels angled like that? There must be a good reason

@steter I wouldn't be at all surprised if she was the one who did it or was in on it. I don't think i'll actually get it back though. Or if I actually did, it will be a disaster because it's been lying out in the weather in someone's backyard for the last two years

I was out riding my bike right now and I just ran into some butch lesba homie who said she likes my bike and started hitting on me, telling me i should be a model for Michael Kors or Calvin Klein, walking around in my chonies.
Then she told me she knows who stole my bike a few years ago.
Really?? WHO??I asked
"Shhhhh 🤫," she replied. "I'll make it up to you next time i see you." 😉

Anyhow, El Monte is a crazy place and I'm going to doubly make sure my bike is locked up tonight

No 700c wheels, but i did pick up a pair of undented fenders. If these will fit the mixte, I will paint them yellow to match the headlight and tail light

I really wish the rowdy drunks would stop throwing glass bottles all over the bike path

I agree with mostly everything that Ed Zitron guy has to say about AI, but my god, the man is in desperate need of an editor who can make his writings more concise.

@mds2 oh the patterns are just a byproduct of the parts I'm using. I want the tail light to blink and to do that as simply as possible, I wired a bunch of self-blinking LEDs in series with some bright LEDs. The bright LEDs are bright enough to easily be seen out on the road and the blinking LEDs cause the bright ones and themselves to blink and they have a nice side effect of limiting their own current, so I don't need to deal with a special driver or resistors.
They're not actually patterns. It's just that each blinking LED has a slightly different blink right then it's peers and after a period they end up all blinking kind of randomly. It looks like patterns though

This would be a really beautiful place if we had not ruined it with all of our garbage and concrete

I'm down at the river looking for a 700c bicycle rim and not finding any. The landscape of the river has changed dramatically since a couple weeks ago though. Last week's heavy rains washed away a lot of the homeless encampment and left a sort refreshed environment, other than the crazy amounts of city trash everywhere
