    @MLE_online @k0ffy
    So I had to look up what mppt is, and then I looked on eBay UK, and you'll be annoyed to hear that 15 English pounds will get you an unbranded probably Chinese mppt, about 7 American inches square, 36V out and what is I expect is a very optimistic power rating of 4kW & 100A.
    Probably even cheaper from aliexpress lol but the ofc bug beautiful tariffs for you .

      @k0ffy The price is decent. It's just that if a 100A one is $44, i feel like should be able to get a 10A one for like $15, but that doesn't seem to exist

      @MLE_online Ah, my bad on missing that detail. How about this one? MPPT, $44, and it says it supports 36V batteries. https://a.co/d/74lPXPl

      @MLE_online I’ve had good luck with Bioenno batteries, but never issued their charge controllers. They have an older model that’s not MPPT but is Constant Current/Constant Voltage (CC/CV) and is $50 for a 20A one. Their newer 20A model is MPPT but is $80. https://www.bioennopower.com/products/12v-24v-20a-solar-charge-controller-for-lifepo4-batteries-sc-122420jud

      I want an MPPT thingie so I can charge my DIY backup battery with solar panels when camping or in case of power outage.

      However! All of the ones I find are BIG. Like 60 amps or 80 amps charging current. I don't need anything that big. I'm sure 5 amps would be plenty enough, but does anyone seem to sell that? Not that I can find so far.
