@botvolution This would be a good project. When you're done drilling millions of tiny holes, you can lay down and get sucked

Rent and bills are paid. Carpet is vacuumed. Kitchen is swept. I'm not going to tackle the bathroom today, so that means now I can play.

A friend of mine is full of idioms and he just said "from soup to nuts." His wife had never heard that phrase before, to which he was incredulous.
She responded, "soup to deez nuts."

@botvolution they promise to use it only for good. I am admitting that I will use it mostly for good. that kind of honesty shows I can be trusted

Can we instead have a transgender day of invisibility so that I can go to the grocery store or ride a bike without getting hit on constantly and also so i can rob a bank without being seen?

For the last year, I've had garden planters sitting on a small section of the lawn and the landlord has not raised a stink about it, so I'm contemplating ditching the planters, digging up the remains of the grass there, and having an in-ground garden.

I do not understand at all why so many people are willing to sit in a drive-thru line 15 or 20 cars deep just to get some McDonald's. It's not that good and it's not that cheap. Plus, the parking lot is always pretty empty, and it's usually faster to just walk inside and order at the counter.

Today mostly sucks, but two large avocados the size of medium grapefruits fell off the tree down by the dumpsters and I grabbed them before the neighbor who lives down there saw them.
That tree makes the richest, creamiest avocados. I just had an avocado toast bagel and it was delightful.
(Avocados at the market are $3 each now, which is more insane than the price of eggs)

I was noticing a couple days ago that the parking structure at work has a prominent warning at its entrance that only vehicles weighing less than 6,000 pounds are allowed, and it got me thinking.
Are older parking structures up to the task of most of the cars parked in them being EVs?
EVs weigh considerably more than gas powered cars. Even if each individual vehicle weighs less than 6,000 pounds, what happens if you load a parking structure with all EVs?
I asked an automotive journalist friend about this and he said older parking structures probably can't handle that much weight, and that no one is talking about it or doing anything about it.
I suppose that means things will just keep trundling along until an overloaded parking structure collapses, and then it will be a whole media circus and political shitshow.

Collaboration with @fredy, whose Italian postal bike needed a replacement cotter pin for holding one of of the cranks on. The local bike shop didn't have any, so i ground a flat taper into a taper pin. It worked!

@steter There are no stairs on the roof of the warehouse, so they must be inside.
The tarp is just covering the front of a large shelving unit . That's not an entrance to the warehouse

I would love to know the story behind this. It appears it wasn't there when the warehouse was built in 1956, but it was there by 1972.
I would also like to live in a place like that, have a big garden on the roof, and have the whole warehouse to use for a workshop, storage, and meetups
