@persagen @FatherEnoch It’s really surprising to me to learn that the country has been taken over by the ultra-right wing of the Catholic Church. For most of the life of this nation the Catholics were out of favor, prejudiced against by the Protestants and Humanists populating the colonies and states. Very interesting how the Catholic Church has such an ability to return to power and hold power. It just demonstrates how important is the separation of church and state.

The Republicans voted against FEMA funding and continue supporting Trump and his acolytes as they lie about lacking assistance to hurricane victims. Its all lies intended to politicize the assistance. Everything they do is hateful and polarizing even as Americans come together in these emergencies to help each other.

The indictment is abhorrent. Trump and Epstein are accused in torrid, dramatic, and sadistic detail of sexual perversion and raping of a 12 year old female while being observed by another child. The USA Today article is thorough, exposing people in the US providing guns to the cartels, manufacturers and gun dealers shielded from reporting by US laws, the multitude of guns and the makes provided to the cartels. We must be vigilant against normalizing Trump and the MAGA rhetoric. Do not ignore the vile, pedestrian, and inciting appeal to the Nazi mentality and culture. It is anti-American. It calls to cruel and divisive values. This country is built on much higher principles.
