Hmm 🤔 we weren't able to do the usual vid and snaps. There were people on the "beach" with a campfire (which is very much prohibited in this area!). And they had a dog, a big one, with a big Bork. With Arwen's age and the way the dog reacted, we walked a bit further. The dog barked some more, so Arwen was a bit distracted...

We tried to play a bit, but my vid may be more bugger than usual, as I was trying to keep an eye out in that dog as well. Don't need any more stress for Arwen (or myself).

So, unfortunately, less snaps and probably a wobbly vid... But Arwen did enjoy her time. We're now trying a different route back, which we've never walked, so I hope it works out well...

Happy gall at the water side with her ball. We only did a few retrieves, and now we're slowly heading back to Skoosh. She'll definitely need to rest when we get home. But I'm sure that she loved it, and that's what counts the most!
It's just a joy to see her enjoy herself so much...

Hihi no worries. It made me giggle to read a Toot about adding alt text adding, and then it not having any alt text itself. 😉

I read that, in time, the pixelfed.social server will end its service? Is this true?

And if it's true, can we take out whole account (so including collections and images) to a new server without issues?

As I've been sharing quite a bit since I've joined over a year ago...

Could anyone give me some useful information regarding this?

Thanks for replying. And I am glad that it is on the "to be fixed" list. As it can be a bit confusing when the names don't show up properly... I usually recognize folks by their name or avatar, not their handle. 😊 So recognizing the name can be more than helpful, especially when they change the avatar. 😉

The app has been working a lot better since the update!
There is still one thing that hasn't been fixed with the update...

The names of the people that Toot... Often, not all of their name gets displayed. Or if they use emojis, they don't (all) show up.

This happened before the update as well, and I'm sure I've mentioned it here sometimes... 😊 The account name shows properly, but often the display name is incomplete.

Hopefully this can be corrected with an easy and minor fix? I would really appreciate it, as it's always been my fave app, till it started crashing on me a lot... 😊

I see many people discussing Bluesky and I get that it has it's pros and cons.
Many people want to follow celebs, and they won't go to Masto quickly, because there's no financial gain to be had.....
But maybe that's why I'm enjoying the Fedi here so much.

People are less interested in clout and numbers. They seem more interested in kindness and all...

I know Masto has its faults. I know there's scammers, bad people, and all that. They're everywhere.

But yeah, I have never been interested in Threads or Bluesky because I don't need a starter pack, I don't need an algorithm, I don't need ads. All they will do is hide the people I do want to follow. And, in a way, it will also hide my own messages to others... 🤔

I'm definitely no expert. Not even close to being knowledgeable 😂. But it's interesting to see the debates about Masto and Bluesky...

Just wish it didn't have to be a them or us, people have different needs and experiences. Some will be more happy at Bluesky, and some here. And others will enjoy a bit of both for all they have to offer... 😊

I'm so sorry to have to ask for help. But I'm so worried about Arwen, and I'm so sad to see her struggle...
I wish I didn't have to ask for help...
But I've stepped over the big pile of shame and I started this GoFundMe.

It's set up in Dutch, but it tells all that I've been sharing here.

The nasty infection that's now in both her ears. That her piggy bank is empty, and my savings have been used for the house/move.

I'm asking for help with the vet bills, for testing, consults and medications.

Arwen is my best friend, she saved me from suicide, she's all I have... She's the sweetest soul you'll ever meet and she deserves the best! Which I now can't give her... 😢

Please help me when you can! I'm so sorry to ask this... But I want to provide the best for Arwen and I feel I'm letting her down. 😢

If threads were just like the other Fedi instances, I would not mind to see/interact with them. But the algorithm and gathering of data (and probably adds and all that) make me steer away from it.

I still have IG which I use little, but it's sooooo annoying.... 😔 I wish Pixelfed would have better location settings. But the rest, I really prefer Pixelfed over IG.....

I wanna see my fiends. I wanna find new folks on my own, not get notifications that someone that I may find interesting just shared something.... I only wanna see the shares of the people that I follow... So that's why I chose the Fedi... 😊

I tagged you a while ago but never saw a reply...
I've been having issues with your app. I enabled the error email log, and I've been sending all the logs to the email that its given me when it asked me to send the error log...

I love the app! I love how it shows the conversation when I click to reply. I love the options, the layout, the search for emojis... That's why I bought the app...

But... It keeps crashing on me! 😢 And I keep sending the reports. And never get a reply. Haven't seen an update since March either... Maybe you're working on an update now? With the reports about all the crashes?

Please let me know what I can do to prevent the app from crashing so often... I did a new install and that didn't help...

The app also still has issues with showing the profile names properly...

Please make the app more functional again, as I miss it when I use other apps...

Does anyone else using #FediLabs have issues?

My app keeps crashing. When I open the app. When I want to open a conversation. When I want to reply...

It also has issues with showing the profile names properly, at least for me...

I use an older phone, a Samsung S22 Ultra, but that should still be able to run the app, I recon. I clear cache every now and then, and that seems to help some.

I love the Fedilabs app, it's the one I prefer. But the crashes take some of the joy out of it. So I was wondering if more peopl have issues with it.

I tried to contact @apps here a whole ago but never saw a reply. I keep sending error logs the app provides me with. But the last app update was in March, so I wonder if the app is still being worked on? 🤔

Please let me know if you have issues too, so hopefully the app mods will be able to find the reason of the crashes and, hopefully, be able to release an update with fixes...

Riding the hometrainer now while watching Bones.
I thought it was time to walk Arwen already, but due to the buzzing terrorists last night, I was up earlier and now I'm ready earlier.
As it's still too dark to safely walk in the woods, I'll ride the bike some more.
Around 6 I'll head downstairs to change my shoes and get ready for walkies with Arwen again. 😊

Ow the exercises I did at the gym seemed to have helped a little. My right shoulder feels a little less stiff now. It's still annoying, but just a wee bit less, which is definitely nice.
