GNU Too♲ !squaredcircle@lemmy.zip AEW star Darby Allin was kicked out of an Uber and left on the side of a highway during a live interview. Allin was speaking with 102.1 KFMA’s “The Podcast Broadcast” to promote the upcoming March 7 episode !
of AEW Collision in Tucson, Arizona, when the driver abruptly ended the ride. Scroll down to watch the video.
The situation escalated when the driver became agitated that Allin was using his phone’s speakerphone in the back seat. The driver asked if Allin was speaking to an “AA sponsor” or doing a “therapy session,” calling his behavior rude.
The host attempted to explain the situation to the driver: “This is like an interview…we’re on National TV right now just doing an interview here.”
The driver, who said he had been working since 5:00 AM, refused to accommodate Darby. He eventually pulled the vehicle over on the shoulder of a busy road and demanded Allin exit.
The driver yelled at Allin: “Get out! Get out of my car!” Darby responded, “We’re in the middle of the highway.” The driver yelled, “I don’t care. Get out of my car!”
Allin remained composed, laughing off the incident as he exited the vehicle. The driver immediately sped off, leaving the AEW star stranded on the side of the highway as traffic drove past.
Unfazed by the situation, Allin immediately resumed his interview with the radio hosts from the side of the road: “I’m in the middle of the highway…So what were we saying?”
Here’s a link to the best video I could find of the incident.
They have to pay over $5,000 RT @chaseforliberty If you can, please donate to LPGeorgia and put in the comments "for Chase Oliver filing" as we fundraise to cover the filing fees for the gubernatorial campaign.
My campaign website will be up and running soon, but since the filing deadline is next week, we must act quickly. Every dollar helps.
