@thanius Oh that's interesting. Although a big unfortunate stumbling block on my part is that two of my mains are Destiny 2 and Helldivers 2, the former of which is humorously listed as “Borked" in ProtonDB. 😆

@chrastecky @soulsource One of my longtime mains is Destiny 2. And more recently Helldivers 2. So yeah, those are hangups due to anti-cheat generally not working with Proton, as I understand it.

I heard Proton recently gained support for whatever anti-cheat Destiny uses. But I doubt Bungie has made Proton/non-Windows platforms a priority, especially considering the unfortunate state of the studio.

Yeah, kinda shooting myself in the foot. But these games make me happy, so 🤷🏻♂️ for now I guess

Does it seem like #PCgaming is getting lost in #Microsoft's new push for cloud and AI crap?

I don't want a cloud, or a thin client, or Copilot, or any of this stuff. I just want to download and play my games, increasingly *without* an internet connection (like on a Steam Deck, traveling, etc.).

How viable is SteamOS for desktop PCs? 😆

All the foot stomping over the #Xbox rumors turned out to be a total nothing burger yesterday. Here’s a 4-minute announcement, but TL;DW:

- Four unnamed games coming to other consoles (older than a year, so no Starfield)
- All Blizzard Activision games coming to GamePass starting with Diablo 4 in a little bit
- Hint at new hardware by holidays 2024
- aaand that’s it?

Xbox is not dissolving as a platform. Pretty weak announcement IMO. #Microsoft
