The DLC for #Borderlands3 are just fantastic.

Yeah the base game has some writing problems but they aren't as bad as everyone says and the game overall is really, really good.

#Destiny2 I realize this is an incredibly meaningless line to post about, but @destinythegame can you please explain what is going on with candy disappearing from Tower trees?

Like, there are tons of other problems much more significant than this. But... how does *this* break? It's candy in a tree for a limited time event for which you're selling FOMO cosmetics.

Like, how. How does this break. On the pile of a thousand other broken things, how does something so small and simple like the tree candy break.

I appreciate that #ArrowheadStudios generally adheres to its rules around the in-universe aesthetics of #Helldivers2.

Like yeah, crossovers with Halo and Killzone walk the line, but the motifs of those games fit in HD. It's not like they added Cardi B or Beavis & Butthead skins.

I like #Destiny2's halloween event (Haunted Alters is fun this year), and I'm excited about #Borderlands4's event which should drop today.

But I'm glad Helldivers doesn't have a Halloween event, and I don't want one.

So I'm doing a side mission in this #Borderlands3 DLC (Love, Guns, and Tentacles) where two NPCs decide to get married. Except the planet and town they chose for the ceremony is under a curse from a cosmic horror god, and everyone there is spooky and haunted and evil.

Like this DJ who tells me to go rescue an imprisoned banshee up in the mountains, then record her screaming because the DJ wants to make the darkest most evil dance mix anyone's ever heard.

I bring her the recording, and the first pic she says "A warming: This may drive you mad, if you're not mad already. I can only wonder what evil this sinister song may call to our presence."

Dance music starts playing and a vocal track goes "Your life is a mess and it's all your fault!"

I love these games so much.

If you like little details and environmental storytelling in games, this is a great channel that explores this stuff for #Helldivers2 and others. The videos are short and focused, though a drawback is they don’t use their voice, only text on screen. Still worth it IMO.

Two of my favorites here: If you’re in a city campaign with citizens around, they’ll be super pumped to see you. But if a diver dies in front of them, their tone and dialog changes to total doomerism. Also: Some Voteless salute you when dying, showing some humanity in them was still fighting. Brutal.
