@crapknocker I’ve never really understood the thought process that ‘modern Nintendo doesn’t compete with other game makers.’

Sure, for a long time Nintendo not just focused on kids, it deliberately avoided titles and studios that catered to older audiences. But that started eroding arguably with the Wii, inarguably with the Switch.

Now, Nintendo absolutely competes with every other platform on the market for eyeballs and playtime. Its doors are open for all manner of teen and most adult games. IMO, the fact it has a 1st party catalog of mostly all-ages games doesn’t change that.
