@InfiniteHench personally, I see it as more of them trying to protect their IP (their most valuable asset) rather than them trying to hurt their customers. I know it can be viewed as anti-consumer, but I try and give the benefit of the doubt there regarding their intent. I do think the creative arm at Nintendo cares about their customers at least.

It only bridges your posts if you follow the BridgyFed account. If you're not, you're isolated to Mastodon. No worries.

Even if you followed the account, there are ways to undo it or even permanently block it.

A great breakdown of Bridgy Fed and the whole situation. I personally am excited for the project, as there are people I want to follow on #Bluesky and I also want them to be able to follow me, without me having to manage two accounts.

I was thinking much the same. The best they could do is remake it in animation and have a Full Metal Alchemist vs Brotherhood situation where both are good, just different.... But that's the best possible outcome and would be very unlikely.

@verge Years ago, on my first DD order, I tipped and everything. It was delivered over 30 minutes after it was picked up (the restaurant was a 10 min drive away).

Sure, no tip might mean cold food (though tipping prior to getting food is stupid) but the real reason your food gets cold is because they're having drivers make too many stops.

@verge Not enough to be ad-free. I also want it to be tracking for monetization-free. If I'm paying you for a service, you shouldn't be turning around and selling my data, even if you're not directly showing me ads.

I'm not sure if I'm understanding what you're suggesting with pagination.

The way I'd picture an ideal merging of time lines would be each post loaded in chronological order, and the background color of each post being representative of the account that post was from.

The reason I like chronological order is because I'm worried I'd miss something, or read something in the wrong order. I hope that helps!

@apps I'd really really want it to be in chronological order...otherwise I'd probably not use it...and I LOVE the color of each post would reflect which account it was from.
