   @ChrisFerguson @snarfed.org At best that's misleading, at worst it's propaganda.

   The mentioned article:

   - Makes it look like Evan Prodromou created ActivityPub. (which isn't true - in reality it was @erincandescent)
   - Completely ignores the aspect of GDPR violations
   - Downplays the role Jack Dorsey has in Bluesky
   - Downplays the moderation issues with Bluesky, that, if bridged, would hurt fedi too.

   TL;DR they need to take the L and leave

     @hexaheximal @ChrisFerguson @snarfed.org@fed.brid.gy if anyone can claim the title of “father of the fediverse”, it’s Evan. He created OStatus - which truly was the genesis of things - and ActivityPub is fundamentally also an adaptation of a (later) protocol that he built

     The original draft of ActivityPub is mine but it’s not like I sprung the idea out of thin air

     A great breakdown of Bridgy Fed and the whole situation. I personally am excited for the project, as there are people I want to follow on #Bluesky and I also want them to be able to follow me, without me having to manage two accounts.

     I hope you don't let people harrass you @snarfed.org You're doing some really interesting work! (You also seem to be taking vitriol and feedback very well!) Good luck!
