Samyam on #YouTube has a great discussion and breakdown of what makes an #IndieGame. She also proposes an ‘Indie Score’ system to determine their actual indie-ness.

Example: In her intro she says #Cuphead was not an indie game, and neither is #Hades2 or #Expedition33 or #Mixtape. After watching this, I think she is absolutely right. The word ‘indie’ has become seriously muddled.

Ok I have been captured by #Subnautica2

I have had my fair share of jump scares but the game is fun. Would be nice to find someone to play with; I have no idea how co-op works.

As much as I love #ArcRaiders (but am still taking a break from it), I remain surprised they get away with charging not insignificant real-world money for basic cosmetics like hair cuts (and beards).

Full, transformative costumes? I get it, gaming revenue is tough these days. But stuff like "long bangs" and "mutton chops" and curly hair? That doesn't sit right with me.

Actual tears today seeing the new, final #Destiny2 start screen.

This game gave me so many memories and IRL friends and achievements and hilarious moments and these words don't do any of it justice.

That is to say, yeah I'm still down to dungeon and raid if you're looking for someone 😆

Think I might take a break from #ArcRaiders. I love this game on so many levels but I no longer enjoy the player threat factor.

It is not fun spending 1-2+ gathering the resources to take on a giant robot that needs multiple players to take down, only to get shot in the back by a player who literally spent zero effort. The betrayal is, yeah... whatever. That isn't fun.

But for me at this point, it is having my last 1-2+ hours completely obliterated by some garbage human being who put in literally zero effort. It's a broken mechanic.

No one wants to have their time wasted. Literally not a single human on the planet.

You know what? I really, really enjoy #Borderlands3

Yeah it has a couple problems. But the diverse environments, huge QoL improvements from 2 (and some that still surpass 4), the fantastic suite of DLC, the weapon diversity, and Sanctuary being such a wonderful home base with a customizable room...

In the off chance you play #Borderlands3 with friends and run into lag, this article from #RockPaperShotgun fixed it for me.

They have a few solutions to try, but for me it was capping at 60FPS and dropping from Ultra to High graphics. Lag totally gone on my end. I'm on a 4K PC, friend is on PS5.
