@tek It's not real if you haven't run and at least tried a view prompts. 🤷 Sorry not sorry.

@zonk @lain interestingly Cleopatra was of Greece decent. She was an ancestor of Alexander the Great who conquered.... "Everything". So it seems absurd but actually, it's not THAT absurd.

I always wondered how Russia and China get their News censorship synchronized. But probably they just don't have to because the Chinese Russian cultural ties are not that strong. (But I could also be wrong.)
For example: Chinese people call the Russian conflict in Ukraine a war.
    What will happen?

@cstross in an authoritarian world of strong men all translated content will be machine translated. This will function as information border with unwanted concepts, Infos etc by any side can be blocked instantly.
This keeps the walled garden clean.
And in the long run Learning languages will be forbidden.

#Scifi is not a #Manual for the future ... It's more like an #LLM embedding new tools in old story plots.

#fedipact seems to have a listing:
    https://fedipact.veganism.social/?v=2
There are only few true fedipact instances. More instances block. Non of the three biggest instances block but many regional do. Also special interest communities seem to be more into blocking #meta #Threads .
Round about 100k users adding up the instance users. I just have been looking over the data no calculations done etc.

@cstross @dashdsrdash @ryanc @nf3xn If this forecast is right we would have to rewire everything. 3.6kw max for most households. Also the cable must be very much thicker if they stay with 5 volts. Results in 2.000 ampere.

Will we need the bandwidth... We will see. But with Moore's law ending this could be a bit too much to compute.

@dashdsrdash @ryanc @nf3xn is that more or less than a standard AC wall socket?

I could imagine that the plugging frequency could differ for USB.
20.000 is a bit more than two 2 plugging cycles per day for 25 years.
If you use it that much you should think about a good durable power converter in the wall. 🙃

After 25 years. "Why was it called USB forever? " "Because it takes like forever to transfer data."

What would it take to build something like that and how would it scale with more mastodon users?
