@sun Do you have interests outside of software development? I remember that you did some DOS MIDI shenanigans months ago, so maybe something with music, perhaps old MIDI music? Or maybe some casual drawing.

Phantasm>Doom: The Dark Ages emphasizes a more grounded and deliberate combat style compared to its predecessors. Players engage in "stand and fight" scenarios, utilizing mechanics such as strafe-to-aim movement. The Doom Slayer is portrayed as an "iron tank," equipped with enhanced melee options and a slow-motion glory kill feature for improved control during combat.
That probably won't sell that well. Standing and fighting melee combat isn't something Doom fans ever wanted. Doom is about constant movement.
@iska@deprecated_ii I tried using Copilot at work for boiler plate config stuff and half the time it can't even get that right. I suspect it could be great for stuff like JS and Python, but that's probably about it.
@prettygood@meso@newt@mischievoustomato epmd doesn't like being started as part of a service. systemd complains about it still running after stopping Pleroma. I wouldn't be surprised if OpenRC just killed it.
The "Optimizing PostgreSQL performance" article is hidden in Backend->Configuration->Optimizing..., where the installation guide is under Backend->Installation.
@sun@j >Please just give me a a websocket that streams raw ActivityPub objects addressed to me. That would help on some but not all issues. Btw, you very likely already know this, but Mastodon API supports streaming timelines and notifications over websockets. Pleroma does support this API, but that's probably all the fedi servers that bothered with it. So if you want the bot to be more or less portable, it's probably not a great choice and it's not raw AP objects I think.
