     @iska @deprecated_ii for me, chatgpt helped me generate freeglut code i needed for an assignment. I was working on that alone (group of 3, but the others are... not good), so i needed help, i just got the code, read it to understand it, and adapted it to what i needed to do

     @deprecated_ii@poa.st I unironically wish LLMs could help me, but afaik they're only good at software engineering, not computer science, and specifically for popular languages.
     
     I doubt a 20% accuracy model can bolt a good, let alone novel compiler to an existing project, with less cost than hiring a human to do it...

     @iska @deprecated_ii I tried using Copilot at work for boiler plate config stuff and half the time it can't even get that right. I suspect it could be great for stuff like JS and Python, but that's probably about it.
