The rest of the family: Yes this sounds good.

Yet slowly over the course of the next hour all of us found a reason to intrude.

First the boomers, because they either micromanage everything or refuse to help in any way. Literally one zoomer asked how to work the oven because it was different from her's and that translated into boomer speak as "I don't know what I am doing at all please take over before I burn down the house"

Then the millennials to protect the zoomers.

Then gen x out of peer pressure from the millennials the boomers to pick a side

Then finally my silent generation grandmother to break it up.

Mothers day was good otherwise. I hope all of you have had a good one.

Aside from what I talked about last time I went on a huge rant about my relative being butchered by a DEI surgeon even after I warned him not to and to seek out a different surgeon than Dr. Ugandan Knuckles and having been tied down with helping take care of him by helping take care of the people taking care of him, my grandmother's failing health, and all of them having a bad case of "but the TV told me this was the correct opinion" except a handful?

Aside from all that shit I mentioned before?

I've now been in an accident and it was my fault because I am so fatigued I was half asleep behind the wheel which when coupled with poor visibility really helped me put the woman in woman driver. :darkness_puff:

I am okay, my car is okay, my ego isn't, I've wanted to avoid drinking a lot of coffee out of fear of caffeine dependency and sleeping pills out of fear of melatonin dependency but I don't have a choice anymore. Best of all it was on property at work so now I am waiting to see if they'll fire me or just let it go, seeming like the later but you never know about these people they might want to keep the warm body just long enough to get a replacement.

I say my car is okay but even before this it was losing oil. No mechanic can find a leak so it is just old and burning through it. Dropped 1.5K or so trying to fix it before I realized it wasn't worth it. I don't want a new car. I like this car. I hate change.

Some bad storms came through the last month. Roof was already in bad shape but a dry windstorm then a pretty gnarly thunderstorm finished it off and now I might need to have roofers come out to fix it but I don't know because I am not experienced at all in roof repair. My silent generation grandfather who normally helped with this has passed away, one boomer male relative is in declining mental health and another boomer male relative is in declining physical health. Have two male millennial relatives and one zoomer male relative who could help but both the older ones are busy working overtime constantly but I don't think the zoomer has any experience with this shit and would be as lost as I am if not more so.

Plus and their homes were actually hit harder than mine. Door knocked in on one and holes in the siding on another, barn knocked flat another barn had its roof torn off, I am not high on the agenda.

None of the women know what they're doing you already knew that, I can saw boards and maybe fix a pipeleak that's about it.

The boomer male relative with declining mental health probably could but I just don't want to deal with him. Love him! But he checks off about a two thirds of all boomer stereotypes before his mind started slipping and every time I have accepted his help the job has gotten done but I've wanted to murder him before it was over.

Here's hoping the insurance doesn't fuck me over, but they probably will because Luigi Mangione did nothing wrong :AAAAAAAAAA:

Oh hey on the note of home repair my floor is sagging in the addition to my home because whoever owned this place last hired a gaggle of filthy Mexicans to cut corners when they decided they wanted to add two extra bedrooms and a third bath and spaced the support beams out too much. This will be the third time I've went under there and propped it up with a bunch of cinder blocks and I am a little claustrophobic so it bothers the hell out of me going under the crawl space but half of my journeys under there have ended with scorpion stings and last time I was under there I saw a rattlesnake nope nope nope NOPE NOPE NOPE but I've got to. :darkness_embarrassed:

Oh hey you wanna know another reason getting on top or underneath the house is going to be awful? I am getting old. I have a severe pain in my left knee I've been ignoring for about a year now, constant headaches, and an old shoulder injury acting up. This all also predates the accident.

I am also nearsighted as a mole so I have to wear glasses to see. But they fog over under there. So I can take them off and see blurry stuff or leave them on and constantly have to wipe stuff off them to see clearly.

My mom and grandmother both have periodic migraines. My headaches aren't migraines but both of them said it started with chronic head aches.

Also hi I don't know if we've talked before but someone told me you were @ForbiddenDreamer 's boyfriend. Hope this gives you plenty to gossip about with your NPC friends. :peachcat_blush:
