I think it's easier to say that Hanlon's razor is simply wrong, because the world has bad actors in it that do things maliciously.

I don't think they're functionally similar either.

Call me an idiot, but I never could figure out how to use github actions.

I understand the concept, but so far most implementations and configurations just seem *weird* to me.

Github actions is not an exception, so I'm looking forward to any working and "sane" implementations of the concept.

I want to say it like: "there are already hundreds of script kiddies causing massive damage, but now there are ten of them that have become so efficient, they do 200% of the damage the rest of the are already doing."

I'm not calling the damage "good".

I'm calling the threat more extreme, warranting more attention and investment to prevent it.

@baldur My argument "pro" AI, particularly when it comes to serious applications like journalism and science, is that it reveals a weaknesses in current approaches.

If a homework, "proof of skill" or publication paper can be written by AI, it can't be that significant. Or the process for checking it can't be that good. Or if it can be useful, it's just not worth doing that by hand anymore.

And yes, that's destroying an industry to some degree.

Doesn't solve the licensing/Art question though.

It's like picking up litter. In my living space.

The code I open source is stuff that I made because I "needed" it and that may or may not be useful to other people and I don't mind giving it away.

I am not aware that anyone is actually using it, but it's there just in case.

@evan I'm open to paying for actually valuable and consistent information.

But I don't think anyone on the fediverse has ideas or thoughts that are so significantly above average that they are worth paying for.
