Even I, a cis white person have seen the dark side of the fediverse in recent days when a "parody" account of Kamala went on a 💩 posting tirade and I inadvertantly got involved leading to a sustained #dogpiling.

At the end of the day things like muting, and on the admin side, limiting or suspending instances should be a last resort.

Exactly. Unfortunately those plastic bumpers are really cosmetic and don't really hold up to damage. I vaguely remember my front bumper replacement, before labor and painting, costing around $300-350 dollars....😬
