I initially parsed PIGS as some obscure military jargon acronym or something, but on 2nd reread realized you meant actual porcine type mammals. Holy fuck.

& pigs are smart enough I bet they don't even need the drones; I suspect they just quietly track Russian troop movements, on principle.

I have a family curry recipe that is basically curried tomatoes.

Oh the f'ing "lazy" flag. Got saddled with that one through my entire childhood. (Try "stuck" or "frozen" or f'ing "exhausted," MOM) It's still a stick I reflexively beat myself with if I don't apply a LOT of conscious attention to giving myself grace.

And if, historically, one's "normal or nice" conduct was consistently or repeatedly reacted to badly, it might worth having a good hard think about whether one's baseline for "normal and nice" is, in fact, not extremely problematic.

This is an incredibly useful post. Gods be thanked, I'm not currently wresting any health management issues, but I am trying to wrangle funding to get a heat pump installed, and the byzantine nature of the logistics is...not dissimilar.

I'm particularly grateful for the concept of the Suspense File. It's obvious once you say it, but that's a class of steps I keep getting up on.

Leeches are good where blood flow, I think esp venous return is compromised, like with reattached limbs & fingers & whatnot. Yes, one can get medical grade leeches! (Very expensive, I imagine.)

I had to deliver a neighbor's whole-ass grocery order when Door Dash got it wrong (again). Fortunately, I got back from *my* grocery run before his stuff had been sitting long enough for the perishables to go bad.

And also: this reminds me I have to ping my online pharmacy to inform them that the prescription they marked as "delivered" never arrived at my house. :-\
