I love how the writers of President Curtis mock #ElonMusk & Neuralink in this scene. The Musk character, Logan Park, spouts anti-government regulation & takes credit for other's work.
What I especially like is how the character of Roe Banks, who was part of his company, finds out he betrayed her & now believes in regulation.

The public could've known where the #cyclospora tainted lettuce was sent within 24 hours under a new law. It was supposed to go into effect Jan 20, 2026. But the FDA proposed pushing it to July 2028 & Congress agreed. Had it been operating, the 27 state distribution list & the real names of outlets selling & serving the lettuce would've been in FDA’s hands in a day — in May. Instead we got them in the 3rd week of July, from a corporate website, as abbreviations.

The corps have stopped the #USDA & #FDA from protecting consumers first when it comes to food safety. One of the ways they did it was by suing the agency that announced who shipped tainted food & who distributed it.
The system is set up to protect the corps & not the public. We don't have the lobbying power big Ag does.

Question: I just saw a video of a politician lying. He made specify lies about NIH funding, SNAP funding & cuts to his state's rural healthcare.
If someone was there, who knew the topics & situation, they could question him in real time.
But these days politicians spin & lie without consequences.

Pointing out the lies isn't enough, someone needs to connect his support for Musk & DOGE to the NIH cuts, which were NOT RESTORED, like he said.
I don't want to do the work, but someone should.

Remember the movie Dave? The President had a stroke and his staff covered it up & used a body double to fool people.
That movie came out in 1993.

In an era of social media, where everyone has a camera in their hand & access to the media, you would think it would be harder to hide something like that. But people will do a lot to hold onto power.
