@BeAware @noondlyt I was wondering if they even have what they require of others to federate. Figured they didn’t have that feed.

@noondlyt Hmm. Does Threads have this feed?

@evan That’s cool then. If their goal using Threads or any other closed platform is reach, makes sense.

@evan @tchambers It’s the platform farthest from the goal, less likely to be influenced by community, doesn’t allow responses from non-Threads users. I guess if the goal is mostly to reach/influence other Threads users, maybe it makes sense.

@tchambers It’s strikes me as odd that someone advocating/working for this is posting on Threads.

@craigmaloney Hoping for a good outcome with the treatment. Having a touch of claustrophobia I can’t imagine that setup in the CT.

@craigmaloney As I understand things, Homebrew is not what this is. One of the Homebrew devs, drank the Web3 kool-aid and made another project called Tea. This is a rename of the Tea project. Homebrew continues as it has been.

@fraying As I understand this, the blog post will be federated and the comments threaded to the post. Not just comments without context.

@fraying Not disagreeing with this, but as I understand this feature in WP, it’s not different than making a normal post here and having comments flow attached to that original posting. Perhaps that’s not how it works.

@doot Agree, but in the case of the Threads app vs Fedi apps, it’s a lot more invasive from on device data collection.

@packy @doot It is unacceptable to be called that for sure. But that screenshot shows that, Meta has not changed. As evil as a Masto admin wants to be, they won’t be able to read your current location or your health data on your device. This is a distinction.

      Loki Entertainment
Loki Software, Inc. (Loki Entertainment) was an American video game developer based in Tustin, California, that ported several video games from Microsoft Windows to Linux. It took its name from the Norse deity Loki. Although successful in its goal of bringing games to the Linux platform, the company folded in January 2002 after filing for bankruptcy. History Loki Software was founded on November 9, 1998, by Scott Draeker, a former lawyer who became interested in porting games to Linux after being introduced to the system through his work as a software licensing attorney. This was to become Loki's first actual product, with the game hitting stores in May 1999. From there they gained contracts to port many other titles, such as Myth II: Soulblighter, Railroad Tycoon II, and Eric's Ultimate Solitaire. Throughout the next two years up until its eventual closure the company would continue to bring more games to Linux. After...
