@mcg @doot Of course. But much of the posting of that screenshot has the flavour of "See? If we allow Meta to federate, this is the information they'll be collecting from all of us, not just the posts that can be anonymously fetched via our instances' web interfaces anyway".

I'm just tired of being told that because I don't want every Fediverse instance to fediblock Meta on principal it makes me a Nazi.

The CEO of General Electric is the reason companies off-shore jobs, do massive cost- cutting and layoffs, and pour all their profits into stock buybacks.

He invented the American CEO.

@Radical_EgoCom Can confirm. My mom worked for GE under his tenure, and his nickname was "Neutron Jack" (think neutron bomb), because once he was through with a GE location, "only the buildings remained".

At my mom's location—capacitors—he got rid of R&D and small capacitor production because "GE is not in the nickel and dime business". Some other company is raking in that money now because Welch wanted GE to only sell big things.

@evan Right, but that's not "calling it all Mastodon." If you're talking about other things, they're not all "Mastodon". If you're talking about just Mastodon, you don't need to drag in all the related networks.
