Adam Mockler said, "Any peace deal without security guarantees is only a piece of paper." He's right. President Zelenskyy stood his ground when they ganged up on him, because they wanted to profit from him and still hang him out to dry. A guarantee of security against Russia ignoring the terms of a deal, that is a prerequisite for lasting peace.

The chess world lost a titan. Boris Spassky was a great champion, and a true chess gentleman. Along with his incredible games, the way he stood and applauded Fischer after an amazing game showed genuine class. RIP Boris.

Please do not accelerate the entwittification of the Fediverse. At the very least, keep everything opt-in, or our posts will be used for AI content to feed the profit monster.

She was one of the rare F/SF authors who transcended those genres to be widely regarded as a writer, period. I read a very poorly edited early trade paperback of 'The Lathe of Heaven', and even then her star shone very brightly. By the time she wrote 'Tehanu', she was in a league by herself.
