@youronlyone Yes, most people unfortunately stay quiet. I consider myself a tolerant person when it comes to controversial opinions. As long as they're reasoned and motivated without personally attacking other users, I think every point of view can lead to a constructive and enriching discussion. On the other hand I believe blogging to be more like a monologue or a dissertation. It's a very important tool to get thoughts out of one's chest. Not an exchange though.
@hanktank61@youronlyone With an instance limiting my toots to 500 chars I don't even think about starting an argument 😂 Here everyone is respectful and even if we don't agree, we get along!
@youronlyone I believe this is a general trend not linked exclusively to #drama discussions. Exchanges are increasingly polarised by personal sensitivity to certain topics. It's more important today to belong to a faction rather than expressing a nuanced POV. It may have something to do with the communities being now online. People don't meet as often as they used to do at the public library book club. Social approval comes easier through a popular opinion compared to an insightful one.
@lookitmychicken when I was starting Korean language learning I appreciated a lot the #kdrama Do You Like Brahms.
They speak slowly, so inevitably many words are easily understandable. They speak in casual polite register. There are no swear words or idioms Korean use when they are angry. It's slow and it allows to focus on dialogues.
Today I'm sharing my #hip#mobility routine. I've been doing it consistently for 3 weeks as warm-up.

@JillsJoy I've watched the 5 episodes too. I find it a bit too slow, with long stares and pauses that could have been filled with book quotes or music. She had a guitar but we saw her play it only once!
@lookitmychicken because for the whole video duration both of them try to break free from the chains. They definitely don't enjoy it! And it's what the dance expresses too imho.
But it's just my opinion, everyone thinks differently from me 😁
@lookitmychicken Concerning this wonderful song I have a very unpopular opinion: it's not about sex, it's about obsession. And I see the chains not as a kinky thing, rather they're prisoners of their own obsessions and can't get free of this toxic "love".
@EUCommission each French primary school student also received a limited edition 2€ coin commemorating the Olympics 2024 with an Eiffel Tower "sprinting".
