Thanks Kitchen-Gods for good solid pre- internet cookbooks still being around, if in doubt.
On our shelves anyway. Natural processes when cooking, preserving and fermenting don't change.

My wife and me met each other in Amsterdam early '80's and stayed there, together. Out of the tourist-area in a lively neighbourhood.
There was the Rabbit Man. Fully dressed in a rabbit costume , only his face visible.
Doing his daily chores, like shopping, or just walk. Not putting up a show, acting loud. Just being a Rabbit.
Now I volunteer with people , and talk with visitors on our spot who grew up in the city.
Nobody ever saw him.

Did we dream ?

@EricLawton @OddJob @bmacDonald94 2/2 ... A lot of Asian blood in there. Able to see the several layers in stories. Discussing ways to protect one's internet privacy, avoid spammers etc. Contacts lost when FB started to kill it all.
But there are quite a few on my time-line here again who I dare trust. I visit the websites they promote. About news, science and all culture.
There can be conflicting views in there. That keeps it fresh.

@EricLawton @OddJob @bmacDonald94 1/2 Same everywhere it seems. Many Dutch news-media are owned by one family. "Doing my own research" for me means remembering the ladies and gentlemen that have empirical talents and write their results down, daring to keep looking at all options till finding out which way has always the same results. As "macho-layman " I survived in a Canadian - global forum with more female than male members, from 1999 till 2010. About old stories, legends and myths. >>>

@Fragglemuppet And now I wonder if your other name "Katie" is related with "Anne Shirley " ?

@Fragglemuppet Loreena McKennit ! Opening doors to a past in real life and online , talking about mysteries, Guinevere & King Arthur ( in that order ), Dryads whispering and dancing in the woods. For fun and sometimes serious, but it was a good time to be on the net.

@Fragglemuppet Isn't that the moment Mab, Queen of all Fairies, shows up ? 🙂

@Fragglemuppet For me that is everything if I eat a wee bit too much , age 72.
Using more olive-oil, veggies, spices and herbes that help a lot.
So, it has a good side in fact .

@Fragglemuppet First time I ate bread with caraway -seeds, was on vacations, camping in Yorkshire. Always been buying it after that at independent bakeries.
Those very underrated craftspeople we have come across all over the UK, even last year.
Baking my own bread now, with German and British rye-bread as example.
With caraway-seeds, sometimes fennel, anis and variations.
Really helps !

@Fragglemuppet I was not really sure about that. Thanks for reminding !

Cat is not included in offer.

You don´t have to feel dirty I think.
When realising it, feeling cheated, the game is to recognise the markers that show it is A I .
I noted some on YT. Realistic faces with natural expression. Then noticing all of them have that "Real" and "Natural¨. Nobody just really plain ugly or pretty. For music the same.

The Mermaid Of Edam , she has not been spotted for ages !
Not in our area near Edam, not in the canals, ditches, rivers or the sea.

Where can she be ?
Anybody?

This space is between old-forum style and chatroom. Or a gentle place were people say "Hi" come for small talk, have a bite or a drink, show a photo and say ¨Bye¨.
No need for a heated discussion. I volunteer in a public cultural spot, were people come in motivated to see.
The team itself is very divers, so there can be tension with visitors. Drawing lines how far they can go.
( Insulting ¨jokes", trying to start arguments ). Costs energy. No desire to do that here :)

@buca Our grandson celebtrated his 5th birthday one week ago. One of his best friends was there too. A nice and bright girl, she will be 5 in june.
Her Mom is from Brazil. Lived in Spain some years, now in Holland for 2 years.
The girls speaks Portuguese, Spanish, English and Dutch, all very well.
Changes within one sentence if needed.
Our grandson hears English, Dutch and Thai all the time. Speaking it is another thing, but that might change faster now !

@bmacDonald94
Very true.
I have seen many women picking themselves up after debacles often not self inflicted.
