@NeonPurpleStar @EUCommission @mensrea Sorry my point was that this is covered. You don't need to mention F-droid, it's one of the data sources in the App Lounge. Pre-configured, nothing to do for the user just browse the apps.

@mensrea well, the OS has very little market share and Jolla has Russian money in it. That said, I'm not pushing Graphene, I just think it would be the obvious choice. The point is to have whatever that is not Android or iOS, for normal people to buy a phone with.
BTW maybe /e/OS could be good as well.

Thinking about technological independence from the US. Almost everyone's phones are subject to Apple or Google's surveillance and control.

We will need a European phone OS.

Pouring money into GrapheneOS (or maybe something else) would make a lot of sense at this point.

I was born behind the iron curtain. In 1989 it seemed that we were going to be free and it really looked like freedom was forward and repression was backward and the world moved ever forward and eventually all of us would be free.

And now I get to see, from the inside, the West sliding backwards into fascism.

You don't know where you are going, but I do. It's painful to watch you harming yourselves like this.

@tek There are many different varieties of oats, some have more protein, some have less. A tangent: most have glutein, but not all of them.

@dedicto @drahardja @Remittancegirl There are plenty of practical benefits to not being a nazi, even beyond not getting punched at random:
- diversity brings more creative ideas, improving quality.
- immigrants are going to take better care of you when you are a pensioner
- you have fewer enemies if you don't create them
- crime rate goes down when people are more equal
etc.

There's lots of research about all those liberal ideals and ideas and they are proven to work!
