Loren (loren@flipping.rocks)'s status on Monday, 27-Feb-2023 14:19:33 JST Loren i love harriers so much. this is one of the coolest birdwatching experiences i’ve ever had. there were a couple of them doing loops over me. i was there on this trail where other people were walking like “do you not see this??” everyone was more excited about the deer that had just crossed the path. and i mean fair that was cool too

Loren (loren@flipping.rocks)'s status on Wednesday, 15-Feb-2023 20:18:04 JST Loren a white-throated sparrow hangin out on a stick. i came across this recently in my mess of pictures and i think it turned out nice. i think the colors in the background look really cool, kind of like a painting.

Loren (loren@flipping.rocks)'s status on Friday, 03-Feb-2023 09:39:21 JST Loren went back to this spot today. it was not quite as colorful as in this picture, but still very pretty. lots of snow on the ground with the brown stalks of dead plants sticking through.
the most exciting part about snow for me is seeing all the little animal tracks in the snow. i'm no expert at tracks but i believe i saw the tracks of quite a few deer, opossums, squirrels, birds, mice, and coyote. there was one i really didnt recognize though.
it looked as if someone had dragged a dirty box through the snow. it was one long track moving between ponds and trees. i still am not sure what it could have been. maybe just a well worn deer path? a beaver? a person? there were no human footprints near it
