@amerika LOL That's a good one that I had forgotten about.

@amerika I spent numerous all nighters doing very similar things. I spent so much of my youth using BBS's, and in fact, even ran my own for quite some time.

TextFiles.com is such an awesome site! Love that place.

@amerika When I started out, I started at 1200 baud and most everyone in my neighborhood was quite jealous as they were all still on 300 baud at the time. So they looked up to me to run something with that faster speed.

I decided to do something that I've never done or even had interest in doing before in my entire life, and that is...I HAVE REGISTERED TO VOTE!

I felt like it was time to make a change and do something a little different. We'll see how this ends up and hopefully it makes a difference in some way.

I know @jcrabapple will be pleased and excited to hear this news.

The wife and I will go and do early voting in October.

Houston Texans are off to a great start at 1 - 0 for the season.

We seemed to struggle a bit near the end, but we held on for the VICTORY against the Colts!

Not only did we win, but Tennessee, Jacksonville and of course Indianapolis(who we were playing) all lost. That makes us the only 1 - 0 team in the AFC South after week 1.

There was supposed to be a special sneak peak at the web version of @pixelfed by @dansup this weekend and I'm wondering if I missed it somehow.

I never saw anything different and curious if Dan was just too busy with other things to be able to get to it or if it were me who was too busy and missed it.

@stu @dansup This is what I see when I go to comment. The text area is squished but if you hide the keyboard you'll see the text.

@stu To add to this, the comment actually does post as I just checked on the web version of Pixelfed and it's there.

@killyourfm So many people are switching to Hugo. I'd like to learn as well. I think the issue I have is that it likely requires some coding knowledge to do a lot of things, and that's something I simply don't have.

Steam Deck is such an amazing device!

Gardening is something that I'd like to do as well, but it's just so hot that everything in ours is pretty much wilted(read that as melted). LOL

@beardedtechguy and myself are looking for someone that is willing, able and has time to help us with infrastructure related things.

We are looking to fully self host our instance so that we have full control over everything related to the instance. This means we need/want someone that has experience running a self hosted instance and has the time to help Kyle with things when he's not around to do various things. (cont...)

If you feel you are that person, or you know someone that has the time and the knowledge for this, please reach out as soon as possible as we'd like to make this happen sooner rather than later.

You would be working closely with Kyle on getting everything setup and running and helping fix any issues if/when they occur.
