I've started to write a little book about the Fediverse, It has now gotten to over 12k words.

@BeAware@social.beaware.live Just found the book on apple books and it's £34 what is kind of pricey. So probably not going to read that sadly.

I'm obviously unsure what happened to come up to the block so can't say what happened for sure.

Are there any actually good books about the Fediverse people would suggest to read? I know I've seen one or two little books out there on the market but I'd love to know if there's some sort of Fediverse Guide or something on the market that you know of.

We can advise if things get to heated and maybe a mute if it becomes to much but we much prefer people to speak there mind.

@BeAware@social.beaware.live Thanks, Yeah I knew about this system actually forgot you could just mention someone at the end instead of the start. Hopefully there will be better systems for this in the future as I love interacting with people on Lemmy as well as the look but I see no need for another account in my life just to post once in a while.

What is the best way for someone say on Mastodon to stay using there Mastodon account well interacting with Lemmy users?

I've been hard at work making the users section look that little bit more pleasing for Fedicate.

I will be looking further into automating the process to update minor things such as profile pictures and other things on the database but for now the manual way is plenty fine.

I've got a few options to go for after everything today;

1. Ignore everything and keep trying to do what I'm trying to do but probably will let everything eat me from the inside.

2. Take a break, see how I feel in a week or so time on the project.

3. Work on a new project to distract myself and maybe return to the other one at some point.

4. Push my NSFW stuff more on @sam@app.southampton.social and push myself into sex work life a good little bitch.

@BeAware@social.beaware.live Worse bit was my whole system was manual, so it wasn't automated an had to reviewed.

I love this system but I think I'm going to have to start just focusing on instance stuff and block those assholes from my instance as it's just not worth it anymore. I love the Fediverse but it does test me some days.

@BeAware@social.beaware.live @rolle@mementomori.social I think it's because those people don't want the Fediverse to grow. In the end of the day all I was doing was putting out PUBLIC INSTANCES and PUBLIC PROFILES into an easy place for people to find. LIKE WTF, I could do the same by just following everyone. It just looked better on an actual website.

Maybe I just need to ditch the idea of creating something like that and just build my information center for the Fediverse Info like I was going to do as the next part of the site or just forget the whole idea. These people aren't worth creating a good place for.

@BeAware@social.beaware.live Yeah, people hate what i'm trying to build with Fedicate, Just makes me want to leave everything. Like what's the point. Trying and do something positive, make it easier for people on the Fediverse to report super bad actors, but also make it easier for new people to the fediverse to find instances or information (what I was going to work on next) and people just hate you for it.

Like I just want to log out of everything including life at this point.

God I think I need to take a break, just been getting a lot of hate for something that I'm generally trying to improve and make safe for people to use. FML try and do something positive and it get's thrown back in my face.

I can't do anything right, things aren't worth doing and I shouldn't try making anything better, especially the Fediverse.

Glad to say after 3 days of struggling I've been able to get up https://Fedicate.org my website for a fediverse database along with information that I will expand on over time.

Give me feedback as well as use the cyrptpad forms on the site to suggest new information including FediBlock reports to the site.
