@aral ask yourself if you see having a job as a game or survival. That gets you to the point. Politics is another matter. Framing it that way smacks of rhetorical gimmickry in support of a common ad hominem attack on people with political positions you don't like, rather than honest engagement
@FrenchPanda@holly@pettter if the winner only has 27%, they must get serious about catering to the constituency that voted for the candidate that got 18%, as well as those in the 8% and 7% groups that will coalesce around a future challenger.
It's not about a single election. It's about how politicians regard the most authentic polls - anonymous voting in elections - if people exercise options to better express their will.
@freemo@olives also thankfully, one does not have to vote for the election winner for their vote to be meaningful or effective. Unfortunately, this is apoarently too difficult to understand for vast numbers of voters.
@mekkaokereke "monkey jpegs" were a craze that lasted for about a year. Zip-line has been operating for several years for medical deliveries in remote locations. There are also legitimate use cases for NFTs that go beyond your cherry-picked disdainful citation of the technology. And none of this tech excludes anything else.
