I understand his concern, but surely there's got to be a better legal basis than "you have to obey during a state of emergency" or face a misdemeanor.

After all, what are they going to do? Fine the speculators $100 per infraction?

I've had lifelong skin sensitivities. For example, I've never been able to wear thermal underwear or anything made of wool because of the itching. During the recent cold spell (set to repeat starting tomorrow), my daughter-in-law bought me a thermal top. I tried to wear it, but it set off an itch storm that is still sporadically going something like ten days later.

@fu I watch an occasional Ryan's World or Caleb and Mommy video with the grandsons (ages 5, 3, 2), but nothing like what you've described. Hopefully, these guys won't have unfettered Internet access until they're at least 16.

Most of what we watch now is
* weather
* space
* volcanoes
* our featured animal of the week (Monday: intro; Tuesday: where do they live; Wednesday: family day; Thursday: what do they eat; Friday: what eats them) This week was meerkats and mongooses.

Grandson_3 decided he was "too sick" to do his classwork today, so Son_2 decided he's too sick to participate in his younger brothers' activities. GS3 is complaining, of course. He's not going to go outside and play.

Thinking I should wipe the secondary machine (OpenSuse Tumbleweed) and replace it with OpenSuse Leap or even better Devuan. In the ten days since I last ran `sudo zypper dup`, there are thousands of packages to update and it's been like this for some time.

(I've run Gentoo & Funtoo, Arch [briefly ... never again], and NixOS, but none of them had this kind of sustained package churn.)
