Democrats make this claim because it helps their numbers, alarmists make that claim because it is outrage-bait. I don't think this is the biggest deciding factor for most women. The peak of caring about that is if between 22 and 40: below that and you don't tend to care much about the future, above that and you are not likely to get pregnant by accident.
