Decided to add this to my profile after I managed to piss off this pee guy (@p) so much that he started to send me markov chain generated DM's. :blobcat-cool:
@mavalalkujuuu Fedi munitions export regulations prevent me from making the bot public. It's also a huge fucking mess: the point is to avoid spending time on such people, so I don't spend a lot of time on the bot. It's really simple, though:
* Check notifications, including a since_id for the last run * Compare each notification to a list of accounts, remove accounts that do not match the list * For each remaining notification, send a message, note the message. * Record the last message's ID.
The message generation is also nothing amazing: it used the embot from git.fse for the >quoted text, selects some reply text from a list of retarded internet argument shit ("u mad?", "did you even read the post?", etc.) or stuff I thought was funny (some bits of the Colonel Campbell AI calls from MGS2, which I added when people didn't realize they were talking to a bot), randomly perturbs letters to get around people doing keyword mutes, adds emojis, most of which are hints that it is a bot, plus :manhattan3: and recently I've started shoving random animated emojis into it. So, someone bothers me and I just shove them onto a list.
@laurel@mavalalkujuuu No; usually the people the bot has been put to are muted. This guy I have muted across like half a dozen accounts: he decided to "expose me" before I ever talked to him, so he's never said anything that wasn't hostile; I thought I'd put the bot to him a long time ago but I guess I forgot last time.
They're not gonna fuck yah bruh. And it would be a shit lay if they did. Not goth-gurl slice her name into your abs crazy. Lay there like a motionless lump then charge you with rape the next morning crazy.
Thought were we dealing with some empty-egg-carton spinster, not a soy-kin-creeper-ally.
> Blah blah blah find a new "joke" or hang yourself you fucking NPC. > this pee guy
This has happened in half of these posts, but with these two adjacent sentences, we may be approaching the theoretical lower-limit for self-awareness.
You've mentioned me in your bio and posted a screenshot of your bio because to you, this is important; to me, you are not even the only guy doing this routine this week, and it's just Tuesday.
Go about your business. You will be staring at death some day sooner than you think and as time runs short, you will regret making martyrs of the hours by wasting them trying and failing to make an enemy. Your domain and all of your activities on the internet are dedicated to some political cause but you haven't managed to persuade anyone by trying and failing to win slap-fights on the internet. You've openly complained about having no friends and you don't seem to have connected that lament to spending your time on this specific activity. Goddamn, dude, get it together.
@p@taylan It's free advertising space. Everybody that sees the guy sperging about females (men) or being called a faggot (Yes, he spent like an hour arguing with vriska about getting called a faggot and how "bad" that is.) and opens the profile sees that and wonders "Who's that guy, that made him angry enough to earn a special place in the bio?".
@taylan@SilverDeth@p also I took a look at your blog. Please don't use justify for single columns of text. I'd argue never use it, but I will recognize the appeal in having uniform width columns of text. But when your blog is only a single column of text you should use flush left. I appreciate your anticipated coöperation in making this world of bad typography a little bit better.
@f0x@taylan@p@Leyonhjelm I think that will happen a lot now since I've added a header that preserves filenames for uploaded files. All images I copy-pasted are called image.png or obrázek.png.
@Doll@SilverDeth@taylan "Virgin with rage" is an internet thing; it is actually, I have just found out, a Chris-chan coinage, which is really fitting in this case.
Yup, seeing that my post which didn't tag a single person on FSE became an FSE hell thread, I have to assume that he actually checks out my profile just to find posts to get mad at, or one of the people orbiting him follows me and brought it to his attention or something.
And then he starts spamming Markov chain DMs at me as if I can't just put him on mute again, which is where I keep him 90% of the time anyway.
@taylan@phnt Oh, right, I remember that. You think websites are the only places a password is entered and that it's a good idea to transcode them. So goddamn stupid.
Unmuted this retard for a moment to check out a specific post and this is what I see:
> You will be staring at death some day sooner than you think and as time runs short, you will regret making martyrs of the hours by wasting them trying and failing to make an enemy.
Guy thinks he's a fucking poet. My face when.
> Your domain and all of your activities on the internet are dedicated to some political cause but you haven't managed to persuade anyone by trying and failing to win slap-fights on the internet.
The idiot actually thinks I care about convincing the absolute clowns on FSE.
Having this bunch on one's side would actively make one's political cause look worse so THANK FUCKING GOD I'm not "persuading" any of them.
> You've openly complained about having no friends and you don't seem to have connected that lament to spending your time on this specific activity.
The idiot cannot comprehend that someone may not care about having idiots for friends.
He also can't seem to read, since I never complained about "not having friends" to begin with.
The 'schizo' in my name refers to schizoid personality, meaning disinterest in making friends.
I just like lurking in places that have smart people in them, because seeing smart people makes me have faith in humanity. So, I've been lamenting the lack of such places. FSE seems to be a particularly fucked up bunch of people whom I would absolutely never want to join.
By the way, I can't help but wonder how many more posts like this pee is writing that I've never seen and never will see, because I keep him on mute 90% of the time so I don't have to be exposed to his low IQ takes.
It's you who needs to get it together and stop trying to interact with me, because every time I'll just be laughing at you for being Head Clown.
> I don't agree that "stop antagonizing idiots; don't you want the idiots to become your friends?!" is any kind of good advice.
You're bad at reading. We will not ever be friends, but you are heree trying to drama-whore with me instead of doing something useful or trying to find a friend elsewhere. Your life sucks because you waste your time "antagonizing idiots".
I don't agree that "stop antagonizing idiots; don't you want the idiots to become your friends?!" is any kind of good advice.
I've always been a very well liked person IRL, which is why internet clowns clowning on me never actually bothers me. For example, I've left my last work place on good terms with everyone, being told their door is always open, and some coworkers trying to keep up private contact with me, but I tend to politely ghost them or turn down invitations to social events.
I could easily make friends if I wanted to, but most people bore or frustrate me for a variety of reasons, so I politely turn away from them. Unintelligent people can't seem to tell that this fedi account is 50% a joke and not what I'm like in earnest... And pee seriously seems to have thought that me lamenting about the stupidity of various online spaces was me complaining about "not having friends" because he has no reading comprehension.
@taylan@p@SilverDeth > I don't agree that "stop antagonizing idiots; don't you want the idiots to become your friends?!" is any kind of good advice.
that's not what p wrote
> being told their door is always open
that's common courtesy when parting on good terms
> and some coworkers trying to keep up private contact with me, but I tend to politely ghost them or turn down invitations to social events.
people being nice rewarded with ghosting👌
> I could easily make friends if I wanted to, but most people bore or frustrate me for a variety of reasons, so I politely turn away from them.
i think you might mistake acquaintances for friends. from what i know you are about to enter an age where having real friends will become increasingly hard.
> Unintelligent people can't seem to tell that this fedi account is 50% a joke and not what I'm like in earnest...
do you yourself know which half is the serious part? you just wrote a hundred words in reply to me agreeing to what p wrote. was that serious, or shitposting?
> And pee seriously seems to have thought that me lamenting about the stupidity of various online spaces was me complaining about "not having friends" because he has no reading comprehension.
i have no idea what post of yours p references, but i'm pretty sure reading comprehension isn't ps issue. declaring people stupid or insane is a very lazy argument imo.
@bonifartius@taylan@SilverDeth Your response was somewhat better than mine, I basically run out of patience as soon as I think "Hey, that's that same guy with a different name". This bit he wrote was kind of my point:
> and some coworkers trying to keep up private contact with me, but I tend to politely ghost them or turn down invitations to social events.
You'll find what the name actually means on the blog. Nowhere on fedi will you find me using it as an excuse to spew slurs, and this is hypocritical from you anyway: every other word out of your mouth is "troon".
> then trying to "own" them by ... *checks notes* ... spamming incomprehensible DMs at them generated by a literal bot
You're so fucked in the head that you can't understand that it has never been important who wins a stupid internet slap-fight.
The reason I send the bot is to disincentivize you from tagging me. It's because I do not want to talk to you. There are a lot of people I don't want to talk to and a lot of people I do want to talk to, and I want to avoid wasting my time on people whose stated goal is to "antagonize idiots". If you have said anything worth hearing, I haven't heard it, and I don't want to sift through a mound of horseshit looking for a steak. notifications_about_the_loli_question.png
I responded to you separately and more earnestly than in my other posts because unlike other people in the thread I have some respect for your opinions based on past interactions.
You're free to believe or disbelieve what I tell you about my own life and IRL relations. It ultimately doesn't matter, but I thought I'd clarify.
I just like to clown on pee and his orbiters because most of them are contemptible and perpetually annoying. Imagine basing your entire identity around the fact that you want to be free to be able to call people "niggerkike faggot." That's what "free speech extremists" are. They give genuine free speech activism a bad name.
And pee in particular is this ultra arrogant insufferable guy who keeps posturing like an internet tough guy, writing huge novels at people trying to clown on them (often being blatantly wrong while doing so, like when he freaked out because I said "no, passwords are text actually, not just bytes") and then trying to "own" them by ... *checks notes* ... spamming incomprehensible DMs at them generated by a literal bot, which just makes him look like he's having a mental breakdown. Talk about lacking hobbies. No matter what I do, I don't drop down to that level. Would rather play video games, or at least write fedi shitposts that are halfway funny.
@bonifartius@taylan@SilverDeth There's no cure; too much time on Twitter. If there has ever been a case where an internet fight made any positive different in anyone's life, I've never heard it.
@taylan@p@SilverDeth you can do things however you like when it comes to personal relations. i just don't think that it's that easy to make friends. i was invited by colleagues as well - it's just what some people do. that doesn't mean they are friends i'd rely on, especially after witnessing close friends going crazy during chinese flu era.
to me, using language like "orbiters" reflects how you seem to view others: not like equals who you might dislike or disagree with but as lowers. you can very well just mute people. i collected quotes in my bio as well but specifically without calling out people. it serves to keep away the collectivists. interestingly most of these quotes are in one sense or another saying i'm cognitively challenged, a classic argument of collectivists for centuries.
the point of free speech IS that you can use these words, because they are just words. I don't use them because I think using this language does change myself more than it changes others. insulting doesn't help me improve myself, neither does it further the goals i deem important. p has a pretty good post on the FSE blog about free speech.
i haven't read your exchange about passwords. representation doesn't matter, as long as it's a reversible operation it doesn't change the strength of a password.
i think it's a pretty good hobby to hack on things which solve ones problems. annoying people on the net being one problem, a bot that replies them nonsensical stuff with the objective that they leave one alone is a pretty amusing solution.
in the post which i said was good advice, p suggested that arguing with people online might not be the the best way to spend ones limited time alive.
@p@taylan@SilverDeth@nuukaset@bonifartius Most of the Mastodon network probably already barricaded him in his own bubble, so he has to dump all the trannies bad energy somewhere and this part of the network is the only place where he can do that. What sucks to him is that nobody cares and probably a majority talks to him for some cheap laughs like me right now.
> i just don't think that it's that easy to make friends.
Making and keeping them requires you to recognize some unpleasant things about yourself and either fix these things or at least get control of them. People with zero friends, like this guy who is too great to stoop to the level of acquiring friends, end up more stunted than people that live in an echo chamber. It's depressing.
> the point of free speech IS that you can use these words, because they are just words.
Yeah, you can't stop ideas by stopping words; what people have issues with is the idea, and they want to cure acne by cutting off pimples (a metaphor borrowed from Orwell).
> i haven't read your exchange about passwords. representation doesn't matter, as long as it's a reversible operation it doesn't change the strength of a password.
It was conversion to UTF-8 by assuming encoding, which is a destructive operation, and then normalizing it, which is another destructive operation. Treating a password as an opaque token is the only way to handle it; you don't need to do any text processing on a password and shouldn't anyway, especially if you are doing text processing that is opaque to the user, and definitely if you are using something like iconv: imagine the Unicode Consortium changing a normalization rule and iconv reflecting it and then passwords breaking when the library is updated.
> p suggested that arguing with people online might not be the the best way to spend ones limited time alive.
Yeah, and he's not even arguing. He has said himself in other threads that the point is to antagonize people to "expose idiots" or just to take out personal frustrations on people he hates: he doesn't care about the things he is arguing about so it's pointless to discuss anything with him. So I had written him off as an idiot when he first did that, and then when he explained his actual goal, I wrote him off as completely pointless. He keeps hopping accounts, though, so he's hard to avoid.
@phnt@SilverDeth@bonifartius@nuukaset@taylan Yeah, I don't even think it's about the transes: he was nowhere to be found in the discussion of the HexCorp cult shit. He just wants to fight, it doesn't matter what about.
i try hard to not do pissing contests. i think in almost half the cases i write a post but delete it. it's just not worth arguing with a certain kind of people and most topics aren't worth it. either someone has the potential to understand freedom as an idea or they don't, and no force in this world can convince them otherwise except they themselves. i took long enough to get it myself, took more than half of my life.
most people just aren't that interesing (to me) but it's on me to change or do something if i want to meet others. can't expect others to do this for me, "be the change you want to see" :)
> well, i'm on here as well and not out meeting people :)
Sure, but you're not here to antagonize people or push an agenda. I'm here to talk to friends and random people and see the weird shit they're working on and talk about all my weird shit, hear what people think, that sort of thing; I imagine it's the same with most people that aren't here to push an agenda.
> most people just aren't that interesing (to me)
Yeah, understandable; I'm the same way. But there are a lot of interesting people here, so I'm here.
> it's just not worth arguing with a certain kind of people and most topics aren't worth it.
Not every interaction has to be political, and a major misunderstanding of most politically minded people is that eveeything in the world has to be reduced to words and talking is always a solution. Somethings are better left unsaid — to know the name is to forget the thing — and demonstration is often the best solution.
Telling someone how to fish is simply inferior to taking them fishing. In fact, the former isn't fishing at all. It's an inauthentic chimera.
@p@dj@dcc@taylan i got 8 sliders and a sack of chicken rings (wtf) from the white castle off the US-22 in Union NJ in lik 2004. unironically best take out i had while living in the US
@MisterLister@taylan It's a pretty low-effort script, yeah. It is so old that it's called "fuck-snow". Snow might have been before your time, I'm pretty sure he predates this guy.
@p@taylan@SilverDeth@bonifartius You have inspired me to catch up with someone I used to know before school. Sadly though, I will have to use Facebook Messenger to do it.
@light@taylan@SilverDeth@bonifartius Oh, nice. Except the Facebook part; hopefully this person is amenable to using Facebook to bootstrap a better protocol.
