     @DiamondMind If you ever watched "American Gangster" starring Denzel Washington, Denzel's character Frank Lucas had a driver.
     
     That (real-life) driver was Puff Daddy aka Diddy's father. He was also a Federal informant.
     
     It gets deeper than that, but there is too much detail. A few videos on YouTube can clear this up.
     
     Summary: Diddy is not a member of gangs like Crips and Bloods, but he has grown up around organized crime and has affiliations with groups like these.
     
     He also has very violent tendencies (kicking down Cassie, bitch slapping Drake, and more). So in that sense, you can say he is thuggish.
