CBT is like the LinkedIN version of therapy. I think Psychoanalysis is the way to go, but most of the community says it doesnt work. Apparently Freud is out in the academic community. But, I think his methodology is useful. -

I worked a construction day labor job once and we were carrying 2x4s to the basement of a new house build. This skinny kid picked up way too many 2x4s. I told him he was gonna hurt himself (lifted with his back). The boss heard me say it, and he yelled at me. The skinny kid looked at me like I was a pussy. I didn’t come back the next day.
I bet that kid’s back is all fucked up these days.

When you reward work with more work instead of pay that compliments the work, you aren’t incentivizing more work getting done.
Work is a means to an end, that end usually being money to live. And for decades, employers have gotten away with abusing the hell out of employees because of how badly they rely on that paycheck.
Now that employees have options, they’re getting scared. And in the death throes of old corpo come the last vestiges of bullshit before the economic crash puts them out of their fucking misery.
That’s the part where the liveleak logo pops up above Wall Street.

I've owned my own business for about 5 years now and always treat employees right. I work in the trades so I pay employees based on an incentive based system.
We need to to X today and I have estimated X to take 10 hours, if you finish in 6 hours you can go home and get paid for 10.
The only thing I care about is meeting the schedule. I have had employees working 3.5 days/week and getting paid for 5. I don't care, I just want the schedule to work. When employees make more $$ money everyone wins.
When business owners clearly milk employees for money it pisses me off. As an owner you have to put employees first. -

No, they aren't, but on a moral level I did not agree with the way the business was run. The owner had severe disregard for employees, encouraged unhealthy working habits and was willing to subject his employees to abuse. I will not condone a business owner who objectifies and fucks his employees for his own gain.
If you purposefully abuse your employees and fuck them because you are the boss, I am going to fuck you. -

I agree with you. I burned bridges because I came to the object conclusion the people I was burning the bridge with do not share the same values as me therefore they as people are not useful to me, nor do I want to maintain a relationship with them.
So I burned the bridges. I don't burn bridges unless it is the right choice. In this instance, it was the right choice both morally and politically. I do not care if that specific owner cares. -

also telling people to lie to their caregiver to get drugs isn't helpful, and burning bridges for the lulz isn't funny it's just self-destructive behavior
