@CloudyMrs @Nicovel0 well if you're trying to stir up some social media aggression against someone who was just trying to get on with their day and had to put up with some Karen of a cyclist who refused to move into the left lane correctly so he could pass safely, then it definitely matters if "people" think he was in the wrong.

Geoff Winkless (geoff@mastodon.cloud)'s status on Thursday, 11-Jan-2024 17:41:05 JST Geoff Winkless @Nicovel0 so cyclist is deliberately driving in the centre of the road rather than moving into the left lane that appears to be there for his use (as per the cyclist in front of him). Seems like he's looking for footage, frankly.
As for "close pass", when I was a cyclist I had a bus drive next to me so close that I had to duck to not be knocked out by its wing mirrors. _That_ was a close pass. This looks more like "you only gave him 1m".

Does anyone actually like Mickey Mouse? My recollection is that the cartoons were dreary, dull affairs. I remember a definite preference for Tom and Jerry and Bugs Bunny by a long chalk. Even Donald Duck was better.

Geoff Winkless (geoff@mastodon.cloud)'s status on Wednesday, 13-Dec-2023 00:25:20 JST Geoff Winkless @CloudyMrs @Lassielmr most people don't stick to speed limits. Most people wear seatbelts because it's a minimal effort and a huge marketing campaign went along with the legislation. Same for drink driving - legislation has been in place for decades but the heavy marketing in the 80s and 90s was what made the real change to behaviours.
Making it illegal to park on pavements when a lot of people have literally no choice will not solve the problem. Certainly random enforcement will not work.

I grew up in Leicester and free on-road parking was limited to 1hr and was always rammed, as well as being half a mile from the centre where you might actually want to do any shopping.

Blame the landlords, not the websites.

If you don't want people who disagree with you to tell you so, you can set the post to disable replies, or just not post the triggering opinions you're not prepared to defend. It's pretty simple, isn't it?
