Analysing #ElonMusk in terms of a #SkinnerBox.

A psychologist #BFSkinner put a row of closed boxes up. Each with a pidgeon inside. A little food was dropped in at random intervals.

After some days or weeks the boxes were opened.
And each pidgeon was performing a stereotyped movement, (ascribing agency here) trying to get more food.

Seems that whatever action the pidgeon happened to be doing when first random food arrived was biased to happen more frequently.

Met a person yesterday who saw nothing of concern in #Musk burning the value of Twitter in order to get a seat at the #Trump2 table.

That person is able to ignore the irregularity of that and feel good about the efficiencies that they're sure Musk will bring to the US government.

(We're going to see what happens. The effects of mockery are seen in Trump2's win IMO.)

So I took the, "It's going to be wild.", approach.
(The effects of a wild Trump2 administration are beyond my imaginings.)

If you're interested in trying out #Linux, and you have very low level tech skills, then trying it out on an old PC desktop or laptop that you're not in any way dependent on is a low stress method.

Trying to replace #Windows with #Linux on your work computer when you've got very low level tech skills and you're trying to beat a deadline is too often not fun.

Saw the #FireBombing of cities, a #TerrorIst activity of #TheAllies during #WWII used against #Civilians in cities such as #Dresden and #Tokyo, featuring in the #StudioGhibli movie #HowlsMovingCastle.

I saw nothing in the movie that reference the dropping of the #AtomicBomb on both #Hiroshima and #Nagasaki.

But I can't think of any other movie of the last 40 years that references the mass bombing of multiple cities in wartime.
#TheSimpsons for example goes nowhere near it.

These references aren't confine to #HowlsMovingCastle, #Fireflies, another #StudioGhibili film, also features as the basic situation the destruction and famine conditions caused by war.

Are things are different in your locality? Does your geographic community pass on memories of what happened to #CiviliansInWartime?
